Bradford is amazing, Deerhunter is one of the best bands of the 2000s, even up until now.

"If I made it I'd be happy" Such true words. Bradford is such a smart profound musician. I wish I could pick his brain all day long! Recently Deerhunter had a show at an arts center near me earlier this year. Afterwards he talked about how to make artistic music and I'm so sad I missed that show.

John Norris looks like my dad...Minus the blond highlights. I haven't watch MTV in about 15 years so I'm surprised he is even still there. Great interview with a great artist.

My boyfriend has it and it worked out in his favor (as far as appearance) because I love his height and angular features. Everyone assumes he's just very tall but he does get rude comments about his thin frame.

apparently i'm the only person who likes john norris. i mean, he actually listens to the people he interviews, he doesn't ask generic questions. idk to each his own.

Hes right about demos. The industry doesnt want us to hear the treasure trove of demos through history.

I remember hearing him interviewed for the first time on Sirius XMU and thinking how inarticulate he was, and how he must be some kind of stoner idiot-savant. But having listened more, to both his interviews and to his music, I have to say he's really a very interesting guy with a lot to say. A much greater thinker than I was originally ready to credit him.

If it's an issue about his appearane then they're obviously not listening to the music he produces. it's gold

idk but it seems like he does. its usually really obvious when an interviewer doesn't listen to the band/person they're interviewing. no hate.
@TreyMeans315 жыл бұрын
Compared to the rest of the brickheads he works with, Norris is a good guy. You know, MTV actually produces an insightful, thoughful interview such as this one instead of it's usual Eminem/Lady GaGa/Kanye West soundbite drivel, and yet they STILL get ripped...makes one think that people "hate" MTV because it's the thing to do, not due to any rational reasoning...no?
@HaydenWinnett32113 жыл бұрын
@Thurbane316 care to explain your oppion considering that you took the time to write a negative comment on a video that for some reason you watched?

hipster/alternative kids like to be different, so they hate what normal people like, irrationaly, just because. That includes the MTV. John Norris is in mtv so therefore hereafter: they hate john norris i don't like mtv much, but john norris is good.

I remember the first time I saw Deerhunter after a friend's band was one of the 3 or 4 opening bands at Lenny's that night; some time around 03 or 04..I asked some guy who the headliner was-he said Deerhunter; I say "what are they like"; dude says they are a noise band.It was really what you came to expect from the Lenny's scene; just raw art and punk. some were terrible and some were great(Deerhunter).I'm real happy for them but it gets a bit annoying when people keep trying to categorize them.
