Call it how you want, the Cosby show was one of the few cleanest, purest shows on basic TV to produce hilarious and timeless comedy. The only person I felt Cosby shamed was Lisa Bonet, and that was kinda messed up, but to Raven Simon, to Keisha, Malcolm and everybody else, he's done no wrong. It was an environment that was a group of people who were a legit family. You can shit on the man all you want for his past, and if you don't understand the 60s and 70s, a lot of sex and drugs, but to shit on the legacy of the Cosby Show is just showing hatred in general. Most people wished they had a family like the Cosbys, where everyone had talent, was educated, an adventurer, never was influenced by the negativity of the streets. The parents worked hard for everything they had, never wanted to inflict violence on their kids, always used psychological tactics to get the children back on the right track. I had my comments on Cosby, but I never wanted to see him rot in prison for his past crimes, especially at the age he's in. So before you want to wish death or ill-will towards the man, remember the character and the influence the character had and the lives he's saved from domestic abuse and just the impact the character made on prime time TV.
