Saw John race and win the 1960 senior TT on his M V Agusta. Not surprised that he went on to success in F1.

It's my way of being, and when I do something, I give myself to one hundred percent " John Surtees (1934-2017) Four-time 500cc motorcycle World Champion - winning that title in 1956, 1958, 1959 and 1960 - Three time 350cc motorcycle World Champion in 1958, 1959 and 1960. nice that Ferrari supplied him with a road car for his later years. deserved in light of what he achieved. I'm sure only for safety in his old age, John would keeping using a bike as well. RIP

Je viens d'apprendre le décès de John, et mon cœur est triste. Alors, je voudrais lui rendre hommage, en disant qu'il était non seulement un Grand champion, le seul à avoir été titré en moto et auto, mais aussi un homme discret et que je qualifierai en ce mot: Gentleman. Au revoir....John.
