When its down to the eleventh hour, and players are giving it all that they can, are they able to swing the stick around and know this is what they're really doing out here trying to get into it when playing hockey and does your team know when the other team sends it back that they to know exactly what its all about when the players are swinging for the fences?

I've talked to a few people about and I'm genuinely curious. How is what Hedman did a penalty? There's nothing you can point to, especially in an overtime playoff game, that makes it a blatant penalty. Shooting a puck over the glass for a delay of game IS a blatant penalty.

Torts is a beast.. I love this coach.. He is someone you play for, and someone go to the wall for because you respect him.

I am 100% with Tortorella. I understand him. To the media: it's fun and all right to interview a coach after a great win, but for goodness sake, leave them alone with their players after a loss, and ESPECIALLY after a hear breaking one. After we've had a terrible day at the office, which one of us would agree to give an account of the reason after we get back home? The guy is simply human. Give him a break

I love Torts, the media asks ridiculous questions. They need to improve. I think he loves having them on zoom and able to control the conversation more quickly.

The one thing I could see people annoyed with is his response to the last question, but likely he’s talking strategy and what needs to be fixed, etc. with his team, and he’s not gonna share that with the public, and we all know he’s not gonna make up some bs about an inspirational speech

There’s a strategy to asking John questions after a loss. Ask only about players, don’t be “portsie” or “brooksie”, don’t ask dumb questions

He's just proving that most of these press conferences and the dumb questions reporters ask are a waste of time. "What did you think of the result?" "What are you going to do differently next game?". It's always the same cookie cutter questions and we all know what response coaches are going to give to these questions.

The non call, I think they would've called it if he had stayed on his feet, but he goes down really easy with next to no real contact. Think this was a good call by the refs, not buying what he's selling.

The non call was the right call. Hedman played that perfectly, stick didn't fully wrap and was not used to compromise Atkinson's skating, used his body to push Atkinson down. Atkinson also tried to sell the fall for the penalty shot

Tough to ask questions or answer any after a game like that. It's too bad that a game that epic had to have some blemish to it. At least 1 positive for CBJ fans is that since the game wasn't the longest one in modern era, so they won't have to watch it replayed over and over for years to come.
