Love the Scoots arcade. Nice Vectrex, i do have one and love it. Back to the days, it was like having your own mini arcade machine. Unfortunately never had one has a kid...was way to expensive. I am glad the bees were nicer than the one in Galaga ;-))) Love the video, and the viewer mail !!!!

I had a vectrex as a kid. Only one with it that I knew. Scramble,berserk,omega race we my favorites. Had to get rid of my vectrex. Had to finish school😁

I watch on my PS4 and the 60fps is amazing on the big screen! The pinball play looked so smooth unlike most KZfaq vids of gameplay. Thanks for the extra videos this week!

hey john, been a fan for years. you're becoming iconic! you should seriously consider going big and taking your arcade cabinets on tour and do live shows and let the participants play your actual arcade cabinets. would be an awesome experience. i'd buy a ticket and would definitely tell my nerdiest of friends! lol... do it! awesome collection.... my favourite game of yours was the super mario pinball game but alas you don't have it anymore. awesome show dude

Lovin the 60fps very luxury for youtube vids but i wouldnt worry too much for the longer vids cos you forget to spot the difference after a while lol but having your tripod with you was great for us viewers and seeing some gameplay in action was great, loved rip-off was that missing a blacklight or sommat to light up that inner bezel? that would look so cool. anyway gonna watch year end review soon, keep up good work and happy new year!

Nice new camera. I'm pretty sure the entire internets were waiting to see to see your middle aged mug and old 640 x 480 games in full 60 fps. Finally, that that milestone has been reached. And Matt can suck it - Mad Planets is awesome.

Maybe you should have a video were you address and fix some/all of the small problems in your arcade. It could show us useful tips for general upkeep on our machines. Keep up the great work :)

scoots here with an update: battlezone's been solid for over a year, dredd got the color dmd, sold ali, firepower, top speed. new games: space invaders pinball, centipede, jr pacman (converted pac cab), space zap mini, wizard of wor mini, neo geo goldie, berzerk (jrok) project. coming soon: turbo mini. thanks for the kind words!

scoots,did you ever have a problem installing the 19 in 1 in your cabinet, tried to install mine in a clutch hitter sega cabinet and getting a split screen,with double game on screen,im stumped any info would help.the clutch hitter is a jamma board.thank you.

I do remember Top Speed / Nitro. As a Taito game though. A precurser to Chase HQ. It was one of my favourite games although being a lil kid I didn't get to play on it very often.

The progressive sound is much like Meteor and it was my favorite(On your Ali) it raised my adrenaline when i was a youth!!

TRUE STORY. In highschool my teacher took us out of class to go see a fellow classmate beat the worlds record at defender at an arcade place in palatine Illinois. The kid was ditching and a high score on defender was more important than school? Gotta love the 80s.

Gyruss must not go! I can often hear it in the background during your videos and it really brings the arcade ambiance. Love that audio! Same goes for the Dragon's Lair attract mode and the race start tones from Pole Position.

The whole time I was watching I was humming along to the tune of Gyruss. Love that game. As for the honey, if you think that bee's gathering together in a huddle to fight the cold is sick or disgusting, just remember that honey is bee's puke :) but yeah, I yave say, his pinball collection is badass :)

Crystal Castles is a great game regret selling mine, was also the only game my old man could play said the joystick games confuse him and the trac ball makes it fun. lol would like to see a video on it

Tell Scoot he can definitely set up the 19-in-1 for 2 players. Theres an option in the setup for 2 joysticks or something like that. No idea why it defaults to 1 player. Drove me crazy when I was setting up my Joust cab.

I would really like a Donkey Kong arcade challenge. I don't own a dedicated machine (YET), but I do own... the 60 in 1... *hangs head*. I haven't crossed the 200k threshold yet, but I feel like I'm right on par with your current skills. Would be a lot of fun!

Hello john tell your friend his dredd pin more than likely has a bad dmd board more than likely the high voltage section needs rebuilt . However if he gets the color dmd it should be fine since it does not use the high voltage section of the board. Also looks like he has ball trough issues more likely the trough opto boards they go bad quite often from all the vibration . New upgraded ones can be had for 60 bucks . Anyway hope this helps love the vids keep them coming as fast as you can

I'm waiting for someone to figure out how to connect a Vectrex to an arcade vector monitor like Asteroids, then I might try to make my own board from scratch that plugs into it, aside from the bios PROM that I think has been dumped it uses all standard, off the shelf components. BTW, I make mead wine out of honey, I'll have to see about buying some from Scoots!

ay jon happy new year ..gotta question are you more about the cabs or the games ????? ..because I see that your not a fan of people that put games into cabs that there not originally in like in that galloping ghost arcade video but I dig what hes doing with making it more about the games with all the variety but It does kinda suck that some O.G. cabs that are becoming rarer and rarer are getting cannibalized ..

Hi again John! My 2 cents on the Donkey Kong viewer high score "contest", if you will, is "HELL YEAH"!! LOL I think it would be an awesome way for us viewers to interact with you and your channel! wouldn't know about 60 fps since never used a computer that could play it... would think it is pointless though. also you need to let people talk. it is like everything they say you talk over them and it is hard to hear what the say.

well my computer is still too old. this laptop can play upto 480p. they are both winxp too and don't do do hardware acceleration really in browser.

I loved the video but holy crap he needs to let people talk. I would be super annoyed if someone would interrupt me every 5 seconds. Not to mention if you're interviewing someone, you need to listen and let them talk.
