even if not KO the boxer was still punching, very bad stop and worst Ref I've seen.

The should of been the last day the ref refereed in a big fight only 4 to 8 round fights. No more 10 rounds or title fights.

I don't understand the criticism the ref gets here. Kawoya has been down just a few moments before the stoppage, what was his second knockdown. Kawoya still wasn't on steady legs when the ref, who is there to protect the fighters, stopped the fight. From the ref's point of view he did the right thing. But if he had eyes in the back of his head he may have taken a different decision. It's easy to understand Kawoya's protest. If Meekins didn't get down no one would've protested! IMO, the moment the ref walked in to stop the fight, the fight was over, and Kawoya's punch was from like after the bell. By the way, Meekins never got a ten count, but was up at ten, and Kawoya never walked to a neutral corner, but celebrated it as if he won...

The ref deserves every criticism he got in respect of his performance in this fight, you can't tell me Meekins wasn't caught and therefore Kowoya wasn't out yet as the ref thought. Refereeing is objective and does not depend on what is in the ref's mind. The coward way the ref went about stopping the fight wasn't right. The ref was afraid of getting caught with a punch, he was a coward and had he faced both boxers before trying to separate them, he could have seen what was going on.

Meekins' power was overrated. Only 54% of his wins were by KO or TKO. That includes this bullcrap.

71% of his WINS were inside the distance. 54% of his FIGHTS.
