It's a little funny that Daisy the dog has the tiniest amount of screentime, but is pretty much the 2nd most talked about character in this whole franchise, even though most folks don't even remember the dog's name.

I hate to have to point it out, but that's the trope for revenge movies. Who or whatever is being avenged usually has a tiny amount of screen time, but in that time, we're made to really feel for them, so that we want to root for the "hero" going on a vengeance rampage. Daisy is definitely one of the ones that stands out, being an adorable puppy and John's last link to his wife.

This movie single handedly reinvented modern action movies. Keanu sets the standards so high and because of his dedication to training for his roles now a lot of movies send their actors to go to similar firearms and bjj training to undertake their roles. No Stallone hip firing unlimited rounds with no reloads or using cover. Michael b Jordan, Chris Pratt, Chris hemsworth, Hallie berry, Jason statham, ben foster etc. all have been in movies that use similar filming and combatives/gun fighting used by the John wick series

@@willstylz5021 this style of filming action sequences definitely came from the jw series. Just look at extraction 1&2 or bullet train or grey man etc. they all are using very similar camera work and choreography There were plenty of good action movies before but really the best of them is heat. The bulk of action movies had corny fight sequences where one dude takes on a small army and comes out without a scratch and maybe 1 reload is shown 😂 think transporter series, expendables series, lol basically any statham movie pre 2014

There's a fan theory that John's wife was a veterinarian, that's how he knew about the clinic, which was also close to where she died. So, in my own personal head canon, Daisy came from the clinic, and John's wife acclimated the dog to him by exposing her to his clothes that bore his scent. She trained Daisy to associate John with love and comfort. That's why the dog took to him so quickly and crawled to him as she was dying. Of course this is just random spitballing with no evidence to support it.😂

the gold coins represent more than monetary value. They are tokens of membership in the secret society, and can be used to trade for weapons, medical care, lodging, drinks, and favors. In this move, the coins represent an invitation to the secret underworld. Paying with the coins provides a sense of security because the killers have a code of conduct. The coins are about respect, not wealth.
@vladyvhv9579
@vladyvhv9579 13 күн бұрын
Actually, they don't represent any monetary value, as seen in the 3rd movie. They're only worth what you'd get if you melted them back down to base gold and sold that for. Or what a collector might pay for them. They're just really fancy arcade tokens.

I noticed that, because John Wick is blue (i.e. depressed) and mourning his wife's death, most scenes have either blue, gray and/or black as the main background color. His suit is also black, so is his car (contrary to his wife's car, which is white) and so on. His wife definitely brought light to his life and we see this not only through the cars' colors, but (among other things) the Daisy dog, which was a tiny, fragile female with white fur, while John Wick, at the end of the movie, ends up rescuing a dog, but the dog is larger, stronger, it's a male and its fur is dark.

The stuntmen in this film helped plan the fight scenes and how to film them so you are always right where the action is. Keanu trained for months for this movie with guns, reloading how to move with them and hand to hand fighting. I have seen Police SWAT people and marines, navy seals and martial artists analyse the scenes and they all say he is spot on with everything. It was due to these facts that this film looked so good and got so well rec'd by everyone.

Maple just staring mouth agape, when John goes straight to the chop shop was priceless. She was really not expecting him to track down the location so easily, and it set the tone to this reaction perfectly

So I think the best indicator of just how seriously people take John Wick is when the Russian calls the mechanic and is ready to start fishing out the threats and warnings, until the mechanic answers (after the Russian father asks if he actually had the nerve to hit his son), he says "Yes sir, I did. Well...umm...sir I hit him because he stole John Wick's car and killed his dog.". It's the very simple "Oh". That the old man says. Suddenly no longer angry at the mechanic in any way as if to say "Well yeah, if you didn't hit him I would have.". That small little "Oh.". Says everything. LOL.

My favorite part of this movie is the intricate criminal underworld that it gives peeks into. The mysterious hotel for killers where nobody dares violate the rules, the cleaners, the crime lords, a whole society that runs on these little gold coins. It’s not over-explained so you just wonder and fantasize about how it all works.

So Keanu is apparently super well trained in tactical gun work. Between this, the matrix and his subsequent sequels he's worked a lot on real skills

There are videos out there of him training till his hands bled, you can see the bandages when he trained with the punp action and the tactical quad reload or where is mastering the STI/TTI 2011 Combat Master, the one he used in JW3. He always wents out full scale doing most of the stuff himself and is training lika a madman and always improving.

Viggo's son, alfie Allen (who, by the way, was in "Games of Thrones) is the brother-in-law of the sheriff Hopper from "Stranger Things", who is married with his sister, the singer Lily Allen.

FORTIS FORTUNA AUDIUVAT tattoo on John Wick's back means: FORTUNE FAVORS THE BOLD/STRONG in Latin. One of my favorite Latin phrases is SI VI PACEM, PARABELLEM which means: IF YOU WANT PEACE, PREPARE FOR WAR. Coincidentally, PARABELLEM is the title for John Wick 3.

Think of also like this. If people on Elm Street were afraid of Freddy, then John Wick is who you'd call to eliminate Freddy. lol. If a Mob boss is afraid of him, then he's definitely someone to be afraid of.

There's this whole underworld of assassins and crime that even the cops know not to get involved in. So they know who John is and just let him be because they sure as hell don't wanna end up against him. The action choreography is so good because the movie is co-directed by stuntman Chad Stahelski, who was previously known for being Keanu's stunt double on The Matrix Trilogy. Needless to say, John Wick was created with Keanu specifically in mind.

there are tons of little Easter eggs in John wick. one of the examples is when he went into the club that bouncer that he actually let go it wasn't just for free or just him being nice. when he said that it looked like he was losing weight, the amount that he said he had lost in weight had nothing to do with his weight. it was the number of guards that were inside the club. John, let him live for the information

One of my favorite movies!! So many good one liners and quotes haha And the Club/bathhouse scene.....flawless. The Music, the vibe, the setting, and the fight choreography....just a masterpiece. The world building and all that this movie does. I love it. And Keanu Reeves is a legit bada$$ The amount of training he did for this movie was next level. He can legit handle the gun like a pro. Got trained by some of the best in the gun world. Yeah I can't say enough good things about this movie!

I've said it before but one of the things i appreciate about the John wick franchise is that there's not any real level of classical cockiness from the villain. Viggo doesn't just assume one guy can take john out, he's looking to get as many men as possible to squash this, and aside from the ending he never puts himself in a 1v1 or unfavorable situation against John. It's always making sure the numbers are stacked because hes so dangerous. John is just that good

Not that it matters, but if a hardwood floor is properly seal and maintained annually, nothing will stain it. My house has hardwood floors. I maintain it. The floors were here when I moved in (the house is 89 years old). Nothing ever stained it. Not cat urine from a dying cat. Not dog poop with diarrhea, not red wine - nothing. When sealed, it cleans as easy as high grade linoleum.

Marcus is the only one Vigo went to personally to ask to go after John, for a reason. Marcus is a highly skilled assassin, he's not quite at John level, but he's up there. Vigo also knew they were long time friends, and was scared of them joining forces, that's also why he approached Marcus specially. Marcus could have killed John any of these times he was there. He was lying saying he' kill him, to give him cover to help John instead.
