About 28:50 your asking about what is the double shot idea. Well, tactically speaking, in close quarters and even dealing with multiple targets you go center mass first. Hopefully it puts them out of the fight long enough to deal with others, then come back for the kill shot. On a single target it is known as a "double tap".

The next movie in this universe is going to be 'Ballerina', at least that is what I believe they are calling it. The movie will focus on a character trained by the ballerina lady in this movie. The main character is going to be played by Ana de Armas.

The double shot is something common in the armies etc. first shot is torso cause it's a wide and easy target to stop and incapacited the ennemy, then head shot once he's imobilized, making the shot easier since the head is a smaller target, to finish it. it's just the more pragmatic way to kill with a gun :'

Cool bit of trivia: all the glass windows in the knife museum fight that broke so realistically? Complete CGI. Keanu’s bare hands were going in and out of those cabinets as he was falling down. His radial arteries would be shredded beef.

Most of the "chest / diaphragm head" shots he takes is known as the Failure Drill or Mozambique Drill. An actual drill created in the 60s and mostly used by special forces in the military with the rules of engagement allows. It's literally to make sure the enemy is down so they don't get up from behind and smoke you because they played dead. In the movie, he's going through so many enemies, it's in John's best interest to deal with them with 2 to the body and 1 to the head, so a grave mistake doesn't happen. Nowadays it's more along the lines of 2 to the hips and 1 to the head, but that's for a different discussion.

I always took Winston's actions at the end of this one as him giving John a chance/expecting he could survive (shooting at his armored clothes rather than head shot and knowing there are balconies) whilst on the face of it appeasing the adjudicator, so didn't think John would necessarily want to come after Winston - but we'll see in number 4. Also for your marvel-pilled brain lol, there IS a post credits tag at the end of 4 for you.

Best part of this movie was the gunfight in the basement of the Continental. Saw it in Dolby Cinema and there was this concussive BOOM of the shotgun blasts, paired with a little thump from the swat. Quite an experience. Worst part of this movie is Halle Berry. She overplays every line so badly trying to make it sound cool. It doesn't work, and she kills every scene she's in.
