@@mydogskips2 marc is one of my best friend (i'm french too). so, yeah, i already know how much he's great. I have here all his projects (the files, from E.T etc.). it was planned that i do a special orchestral arrangement with his tracks, but my healt forbidd me actually to make any music, so no idea when i'll be able to do it. I started to make an orchestral arrangement on his asteroid fields version, but... had to stop with an unknown date when i'll be able to resume it. We recorded many more stuff, we did 3 albums that you can find on my channel 1M1, 1M2, 1M3, (the 1M1 one is posted on his channel too), we did a cover of a michael jackson's thriller, Flash Gordon, ... he's an amazing guy, person and human being too added to an enormous talent !. It's an honor to have him as a friend and that he accepted we did all these collaborations (around 30). (I saw My dog skip a long time ago, loved this movie, soundtrack by williams Ross if my memory is correct).

This exceptional musical composition, concerning the most beautiful hero for any child who lives in us, marked my youth (I am from the 70's; I know; in this world, it is no longer fashionable ...) and, we can say it, contributed to make of me a man, concerned about his neighbor. Hi Diana, i'm trying to find information about your work. I'm a fan of L.A Musicians studio, had the chance to hire several of them for a record I did (but never published except one with people like Dave Weckl , Will Lee and Eric Marienthal.), did some other tunes with Michael Landau, John JR robinson and many others. Always been a big fan of not only John Williams but his son joseph with Toto. I found a "Diana Lee" entry on Allusic, is that you ? I see you listed on a 1996 Neil Diamond record (i'm a crazy fan of his soundtrack for Livingston seagull), in 1979 for a frank sinatra record (as port a the chorus). ??

Wow! Sounds almost exactly the way it does in the movie. I'm not sure who conducted Superman 2 but I remember thinking to myself "Man, this isn't as good as Williams' version." It just sounded watered down, chincy by comparison. Anyway, no one can beat the master & that is John Williams.
@Martyprod210 жыл бұрын
Superman II has been adapted and Superman III "adapted" and "scored" for few cues by composer Ken Thorne. Superman II use only materials composed by John Williams who have been used in their same form as in superman I or modified to suit the movie. superman III did the same but new cues have been composed by ken thorne for the movies because for some parts, it was needing new cues. John Williams for schedule reason, issue with the production (richard donner has been fired) and maybe other reasons that i don't remember didn't scored Superman II .. why the sound is not the same even if the materials is very close to be the sames? from superman II, the budget to the music departement (and the orchestra) in superman II and III has been lowered Down A LOT, and the music departement didn't had the possibility to have an orchestra as big as the first one resulting unfortunatly, even if the same orchestration and tunes have been used from the first movie, to be "kind of" a bit different.

***** YOU WOULD ASSUME WRONG. John Williams had zero to do with Superman 2. ZERO. The Salkinds the weasel family..didn't want to spend anymore money..Richard Donner had already completed 80% of Superman 2 while filming Superman. John Williams and LSO Performed Superman..110 Members. Superman 2.'s music was John Williams Music was rehashed by Ken Thorne..who used ZERO members of the LSO. Only 50 piece orchestra(London High School Band) played the rehashed score. It was mixed wrong and SUperman 2 and music sounded TIN CAN THIN!!! It was awful. Bad.

Okay, this may come out weird. Not trying to be rude. Where did you get these videos? John Williams left the Boston Pops in 1999 (I think). And a large number of your videos have retired "Pops" members such as Tim Morrison (1997), Bruce Hall (2003?), and Peter Chapman (2008)(3 of the 4 trumpet players in this video). Did you buy them, or record them on TV, or did you tape these live? Don't get me wrong, I really like and appreciate the videos ( I am subscribed to your channel). I just thought it would be interesting to know.
