John5's solo tour with special guest Marty Friedman #john5 #motelycrue #robzombie #whitezombie #marilynmanson #martyfriedman #megadeath #guitargod John
John5 really needs to get himself a lead singer, write his own songs and do bigger tours. He almost seems limited with Motley Crue. Sooo much talent!

He was with Rob zombie and Marilyn Manson as well. But yeah he just most does instrumental stuff

@@Ryanbaggarly Yep. Had the famous fight on stage with Manson. Manson is a douche. John5 was also a studio musician for a number of years. I've read rave reviews from Motley when they recorded their new stuff with John5. Said he would show up with a bunch of great riffs and lots of suggestions for the directions of songs. I think he is a "behind the scenes" writer and player. He needs to take the next step in my opinion.

Not quite Satriani, but still a nice step up from the pure shredders That coundn't write an actual song if their iife depended upon it.

See him live and u might change ur mind. He's flawless like satriani. He more than 100% can hang. Man he was chicken picking. Played a song on bass. Took requests. It was amzeballs

@@Guitarplayer724man honestly this show was dope. Marty Friendman from Megadeath opened and just ripped the crowded then john 5 comes and shreds like crazy. He played all different types of styles. Chicken pickin, blues, standard rock and he's fast shit. He's super versatile. Also played a groovy bass song and was soloing on a miniature electric guitar. He was very technical. Most I've ever seen and i go to concerts all the time

I hate his music, but he's a lovely guitarist. His flavour of metal just sucks so much. The songs as a whole are garbage, but his solos, techniques and flourishes are nice. It's funny, there's a lot of less talented metal musicians producing way better music as a whole

@@robertanderson1457 nu metal is the antithesis of both music in general, and metal in particular. It's like Joey Jordison - he was an amazingly talented drummer, making absolutely pathetic music with Slipknot. In fact, their new drummer is even better. What a waste. John5 has talent, but he wastes it playing that lame shit

This video definitely doesn't show his talent or what we saw at the show. I can play all these songs. But other stuff he played takes 20 yrs to learn. But don't base his talent off these easy songs

Somebody said he was under rated. No he’s not. I’m not slamming John when I say this but he’s using all the talents before him. Nothing he does is fresh innovation. He’s a good guitarist but very far from being a “god” like someone said in the comments. Eddie…? Now there’s a guitar god. 100% innovation. In fact the most innovative guitarist since the late 70’s until his death.
