Steve played for a number of bands including The Rolling Stones, Crosby, Stills and Nash, The Saturday Night Live Band, as well as artists Kenny Loggins, David Bowie, Don Felder, and the list goes on. All said, they made great music together.

Typing a "v" in a word that starts with a "w" such as "witnessed" is a strange typo, tell me @AhmetAygit, does your language use a "v" in words that normally in English use a "w"? Actually, so is substituting an "m" for the "n" in the same word! Although that change can be easily explained as a simple "Typo" because the letters "n" and "m" are adjacent to one another on the keyboard whereas the "w" and "v" are rows apart. I'm getting on in years and honestly I am prone to making mistakes myself. But the "w" and "v" substitution has me stumped. Hence my question. - Peter age 73

I’m 19 and listen to many types and genre but only the 60s to 80s is this powerful and emotional. Many new artist are doing many amazing mind boggling things but it doesn’t have the same impact. I really wish there was more artist who created experiences like Floyd has. Sadly, but hopefully the resurgence they’ve had on social media clips like Tik Tok can inspire a similar sound in modern times. It has for me and my music. But nothing will ever reach their level. May Pink Floyd outlive us all! Edit - I think artist like John Mayer are a huge step in the right direction but again he has a different emotional appeal where Floyd makes you elevate to different places.

Of course it's comfortably numb. People can write books about how great this solo is and how a group that grew up from beginners to professionals just got better and better each album. It just kills me parts of it are so simple you are like 'duh' of course you would do that. It sounds amazing, why not. But yet no one else has a solo that even compares to this. His sustains and voicing are just the best.

Not many artists provoke a reaction, an actual physical reaction like goosebumps and emotional feelings, like David Gilmour does to me on a regs. Truly a genius and master of his craft. And seems such a nice genuine guy. Waters might have been the creative force behind PF, but Gilmour translated what was on paper and spoon fed it to the world in a way noone else could. Shame it all ended like it did, but just be thankful that it ever happened in the first place. Shit, what happened to music? From end of the 90s, it died!

My all time hero, have been listening to him since I was 14 I'm 57 years old and it's still like the first time when I hear him play these solos. Picked up a guitar myself about 15 years ago and just recently finished learning the solo from the song "time" and plan on learning anything else I possibly can before my last breath. I am so glad he continues creating music. I had a chance to go to the pulse concert when I was about 23 and missed it and it's one of my greatest regrets. Please David never stop. We love you..
