When im hearing this im just speachless. I was at a konzert with him and Benny Barron his trio, in Berlin before a few days and how they all improvised and varieted the whole 2 hours was amazing. Jonathan Blake just never played 4 bars the same in a row. Also the whole set he was just feeling the room and had maybe 5 minutes his eyes open. It felt like he was listening to what he played and mastered it. I think this dont make sense but whatever. Definitely my greatest gig ive been at and a blessing to hear everyone play🙏

It definitely makes sense! Like wynton said... The music is always about the listener, but the very first listener is the player... So you got it! Johnathan is such a grandmaster and a sensitive, loving and humble person... And exactly like that he sounds and play! Besides many people who were with me, beating shit around the drums,he played time.... Can you imagine which feeling I had being the only one in the room with him... It was like he played for me. Life is a miracle nothing else!! 🙏 ❤️

@@alexinocymbals bro… thank you… really. Only love ❤️ I play the drums for like 4 years now and through Jonathan Blake I really try my ways to play more Jazz styles. Even though I never could reach his playstyle I just love to make musik and just trying is the best I can do. But really the world needs more people like Blake or Kenny Barron. To me they are and will be the greatest not just musically but humanly. Love that you are so kind and respectful with your community 🫶😃

So great to hear a drummer like you with Jazz Chops. Man you have what it takes. Your independence between your left hand and ride. thats what I dig the most.

If the drums could speak they’d be like “yeah just like that”

Yes my brother, I guess you're right. This drum got an old history and many of the masters made already music on that old lady... Ari, Hutch, Johnathan, Justin Brown, Jerome Jennings, Mario Gonzi,etc.. It got a lot of spirit and I'm happy to have it as long as I'm in that body known as Alexino. 🙏❤️
