I learned how to drive a dog leg trans on a UPS truck. Going from 1st to reverse and back so much it makes life so much easier.

I had a chuckle at your distaste for the 996. The interiors have that 2000s Corvette syndrome. Just terrible plastic clunky “blah”. It reminds me of a 2000s beetle. Anyway, congrats on the dog leg!🦵

The BMW 7 Series E23 is a successor of the BMW New Six and is one overrated full-size luxury sedan in the 1980s which I think was beaten by the Mercedes-Benz W116 and W126 when it comes to comparing to other German full-size luxury sedans back in the day.
