Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
We got the afternoon
You got this room for two
One thing I've left to do
Discover me, discovering you
One mile to every inch of
Your skin like porcelain
One pair of candy lips and
Your bubblegum tongue
[Pre-Chorus]
And if you want love we'll make it
Swim in a deep sea of blankets
I take all your big plans and break 'em
This is bound to be a while
[Chorus]
Your body is a wonderland
Your body is a wonder, I'll use my hands
Your body is a wonderland
[Verse 2]
Something 'bout the way
Your hair falls in your face
I love the shape you take when
Crawling towards the pillowcase
You tell me where to go
And though I might leave to find it
I'll never let your head hit the bed
Without my hand behind it
[Pre-Chorus]
You want love, we'll make it
Swim in a deep sea of blankets
I take all your big plans and break 'em
This is bound to be a while
[Chorus]
Your body is a wonderland
Your body is a wonder, I'll use my hands
Your body is a wonderland
(I'll never speak again, again
I'll use my hands)
[Bridge]
Damn, baby
You frustrate me
I know you're mine all mine, all mine
But you look so good it hurts sometimes
[Chorus]
Your body is a wonderland (I'll never speak again, again)
Your body is a wonder, I'll use my hands
Your body is a wonderland (I'll never speak again, again)
Your body is a wonderland (I'll use my hands)

This is the sweetest song. I’m old now, but this reminds me of young love. And how good it was to be able to spend time with the one you love. When everything was new and exciting. Ahhh! Memories!

Its so strange how we connect songs to a certain stage or point in our lives. Back in 2007 I had to leave my home for the first time to work in another city. I had lived all my life with my parents and this was my first time. While I was packing my bags to leave, this song was playing on TV and it suddenly became my signature "Homesick" song. I remember crying like a baby that day. Later whenever I heard this song, I felt a deep urge to go back home and see my Mom and Dad, my town. Now that my Mom is no more, this song sometimes is very tough to bear ...so many memories. RIP Mom.

John has said that he wrote “in your atmosphere” while filming this song. You can see at 1:49 while in his bus, he’s playing the chords to in your atmosphere. This was 6 years before he officially played it during the Where The Light Is Live in LA concert.

Hi! The line is actually "I'm never speaking up again," and it's actually just a line from the track before this one on the album. The track is called "My Stupid Mouth." As for the I'll use my "I'll use my hands," I think you can infer what he was implying there. As for why he included a line from a previous song I'm not sure, but I like the style of it.

You know that in 2003 someone out there turned on the radio, heard this song, and wondered where all the good music went because the sound had changed? In other words, this is utter nonsense. This song is catchy and I like it just fine. But it's pretty standard pop fare, and the only thing that sets it apart from current pop writing is that the production styles have changed.

It really makes no sense that he's only at 2.4m subs. John is a legend. I remember hearing this on the radio as a child the first time. Was in my mother's car at a beach and I was in first grade. So that was in 2003.

I'm indian!! Keep that in mind while reading further. So I was listening to random english songs while my mother was removing peas from its pods in the same room. This song came and I changed it without letting it finish. My Indian mother instantly asked me to play ''Your body is a wonderland" again. I was surprised by her request as she doesn't speaks English. Upon asking why she asked me to play this song again. She immediately said,"that song had good music and beat to it. I liked it." This small incident truly proves that music can transcend all sorts of barriers.

Long were the nights when my Days once revolved around you Counting my footsteps Praying the floor won't fall through, again My mother accused me of losing my mind, but I swore I was fine You paint me blue sky Then go back and turn it to rain And I lived in your chess game But you changed the rules every day Wondering which version of you I might get on the phone Tonight Well, I stopped picking up, and this song is to let you know why Dear John I see it all now that you're gone Don't you think I was too young to be messed with? The girl in the dress cried the whole way home I should've known Well, maybe it's me And my blind optimism to blame Or maybe it's you and your sick need To give love then take it away And you'll add my name to your long list of traitors Who don't understand And I'II look back and regret I ignored when they said, "Run as fast as you can" Dear John I see it all now that you're gone Don't you think I was too young to be messed with? The girl in the dress cried the whole way home Dear John I see it all now, it was wrong Don't you think nineteen's Too young to be played by your dark, twisted games? When I loved you so 1 should've known You are an expert at sorry And keeping lines blurry Never impressed by me acing your tests All the girls that you've run dry Have tired, lifeless eyes cause you burned them out But I took your matches before fire could catch me So don't look now I'm shining like fireworks Over your sad empty town Oh-oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Dear John I see it all now that you're gone Don't you think I was too young to be messed with? The girl in the dress cried the whole way home I see it all now that you're gone Don't you think I was too young to be messed with? The girl in the dress cried the whole way home I see it all now that you're gone Don't you think I was too young to be messed with?
