This was the last competition for me in 2023. Although it was raining a lot on the second day it was a great show and I had the best time. Lovely people, awesome competition and as always fun!
I started doing woodchopping competitions last year (3 competitions) and this year I've attended 9. 2 in the US, 1 in Germany, 4 in Sweden, 1 in Norway and 1 in Switzerland. Can't wait to see what next year will bring.

I grew up about a 90 minute driver from there. I still do a lot of cutting there, but with chainsaws mostly.

I own a Stihl saw and ran saws for a few decades now and love to split wood with my Hults Bruk axe BUT how many of you in KZfaq land CRINGES when watching the stand-on a log chop competition with those RAZOR SHARP HEAVY axes that would take your foot or leg off in a fraction of a second!!?? I just can’t even watch that particular competition but the rest of a timber show is awesome 👍🏼

There’s no overall placement at this competition but in the Stihl series I finished 2nd in the European rankings

@@Femalelumberjack Ahh, ok, thank you for clarifying; I was worried. Those axes are pretty sharp and you look to be pretty strong, so I'm glad you're protected.

Something to think about. I came across some interesting information...according to studies from the NIH and livestrong, professional female athletes have anywhere from 10% to more than 50% less strength than professional male athletes. Applying this to cutting, if a female were to be using a 500i, a 14.8 pound power saw, for cutting then, that would equate to the male using a saw just over 22 pounds...that's an 880 or 3120 depending on your flavor. Me thinks we males need to get off our back sides and get our work outs in overdrive as our female coworkers are the real Beast Modes in the bush. here's the math. 14.8lbs. /.6666666 (2/3) = 22.2 lbs.
