You can tell by Johnny's smirk when they start harmonizing that he knows how good it sounds. Glen and John were awesome!

Always loved that song, even if has been obviously "inspired" by "Don't Think Twice". Johnny loved it too, sang it at his very last performance. 1970 was a great year for him. Glen is awesome and adds only the best. Could have been longer, though.

Fantastic. Two of America's Best. Johnny Cash, American Treasure and Glenn Campbell (a Beach Boy ) and a guitar session legend. I love this KZfaq stuff.

@meinLiebsterFeind You tell me how it feels! If you must know - "Don't think twice" was released in 1963 and this little ditty in 1964. Of course the words are different but I'm talking about the melody.
@robertobaires31556 жыл бұрын
Yes !! that's why it was so familiar ... Its don't think twice with different lyrics

@devilrobbie25 "A ditty" is another word for a song. Some singers use it when they're about to sing a song, when they're introducing it - often penned by themselves and they don't want to sound smug saying "this song" - so it's a kinda self-deprecating term or jocular if you like.

I sang that song a few times...for real. They just don't get past brainwashing from tv very easy. Next !

In the key of D?....I thought Johnny preferred C......
@jackmiller10329 жыл бұрын
Jawknee Rustle IIRC, He did prefer C, but Glen preferred D more, and Johnny Cash was just that rad of a guy, and they played in D.

@pinchold you seemed very interested in the gossip when you thought you were right..calling the song this little diity..never heard that expression before i hope its not a bad thing to say in america..im irish by the way i dont understand that term

@devilrobbie25 It's pathetic to call someone douche just because they are not aware of each and every behind-the-scene-dealings in the showbusiness. Especially if that someone doesn't care a shit about the artist in question. I'm a musician interested in music not in gossip.
