Buried my Mother today, it was a cold and cloudy day and I followed close behind that hearse. I’m alone at my parents home now. It used to feel full of love and like home. Now it feels so lonesome without my Mother’s presence. I’m so heartbroken. Cancer is a terrible disease.

June, in this rendition, is outstanding. She sang with a gravel in her voice she did not typically use. Raising her hand, truly enjoying the experience of singing together. I haven't lost anyone recently, but I felt the loss of these singers today. The circle remains unbroken, but it's dinged up.

As I have recently lived this song with my Wife dying on 08/0422 I need to say that I have to believe that the circle will be unbroken and I hope God will call me when he is done with me. To those who are hurting. I love you family that God will

We just lost mama on 5-11-21 but she loved Johnny Cash. However she loved my daddy too. He was an amazing guitar player. He did an awesome job and. He loved country. Mama loved listening to him.

Pop Staples signing with his daughters back in the day's were a group I loved to hear in their days. The Staple singers. Pop Staples sang this song with another group of great singers. Pop Staples was a rolling stone in his day's. God rest Johnny, June, and Pop Staples soul in heaven. I can hear them singing this song in heaven, pleasing God.

today I had the honor to play a tune during a funeral service .... and then I thought about this song ....

As we pulled out the 35 foot Winnebago to go on our family vacation, mom started the song, joined in by my father, older sis and younger baby brother and we would sing until we fell asleep hours later. Now all that remains is just me. Now I will have my wife and daughter.
