This is an classical opera performance, he had Latin blood that would'nt let him be a plastic pop-star. As important to Music as Bethoven, Verdi and Mozart, they all used the same dramatic style. RIP compadre.

And best performance ever! Coked out; barely standing; imperfect vocals and understated guitar. But gripping and fantastic. Humming song in head all day. "I explain why good pop punk is hard to find: Vocals too clean, lyrics too serious, style too corporate, drummer too slow." -- Fat Jones on Twitter

They say he was talented... You never know by this... Drugs just destroyed anything he had. And they didn't have to. You can use dope somewhat responsibly. Yes, it's possible. That's not an oxymoron. Many rockers were dope fiends and you'd never have known it. But he was a particularly sloppy addict. Going on stage immediately after shooting up... That's just so dumb. He couldn't even wait until AFTER. It's like he never developed a tolerance to dope, either. When I was using I could shoot 5 bags and still seem dead sober. It's weird because in every clip of this guy he's blasted like a new user. And every dope user knows very quickly in your tolerance skyrockets to an impossible level. You can no longer get high enough. That's why you go to the needle. It's your last chance to get high. But even that eventually stops working. Sure, you'll get all nodding out, but only for like an hour and only immediately after you shot up. So... Why couldn't he just wait... then go on stage... then shoot up again if he wanted to? It bothers me because he probably was way more talented than what we see in all his stage clips. Then again, he never had to deal with aging or getting sick. He just went out in a nod in New Orleans somewhere. It's not sad. What's sad is the people he left behind that cared about him. But for him... he went out painlessly. We all have to go. And he went out painlessly.

Holy fucking shit. you are so right about everything. Thanks mick m8, im using this to write a song about addiction and death, hope you don't mind haha
@anothergirlanotherplanet28264 жыл бұрын
Please know that I say this with the utmost respect. We all love Johnny here, and I appreciated reading your insight on things... but Johnny didn't go out in a nod. He didn't have any heroin in his body when he died. In fact, it seems his death was anything but painless. I get your point, though. It was by some strange twist of fate that he didn't go out like that. Happy birthday to Johnny today, by the way... who oddly also died on a sad vacation, as you mentioned above.

Johnny played up to his imagine and he was murdered in New Orleans.

@@ChinkRoy I just saw this post after 2 years... Sorry I never saw when you wrote... Anyway... Sure, you can use whatever I said. I don't know how you would, but I certainly wouldn't mind.
@mickobrien31562 жыл бұрын
@@anothergirlanotherplanet2826 Nobody really knows anything about his death. And I hate people going toward a conspiracy theory with no evidence... esp when the likely and obvious scenario of a sloppy junkie overdosing is infinitely more likely than some pointless murder mystery. Even if he was murdered... it would've been while he was all sloppy and out of it. And I don't care how so many say, 'Johnny was cleaning his act up, and was on methadone, so he wasn't even using heroin when he was in New Orleans... That's just unprovable because the toxicology and autopsy info isn't public. And I know from personal experience... addicts on methadone also use dope. Because I did, for years. I was on methadone and I'd get frustrated and bored, and still slam up. The methadone made my tolerance that much more annoyingly high... but I'd be able to get off on top of the methadone. I only took methadone to tide myself over when I didn't have enough dope... but even together, many addicts use them both. Not just me, others I know did, too. As far as Johnny having some illness I've heard rumors about... there's also no concrete proof. Some say he had leukemia... others that knew him swear that's bs. Who knows. Lastly... One witness, Willy DeVille, stirred conspiracy theorists by saying... 'Johnny looked like a human pretzel when the coroners carried his body out of the hotel he died in...' However, Mr. DeVille doesn't understand death and rigor mortis. If you die while you're, say, in a chair... When you're found, depending on the time after death... your body can be almost frozen in place in the shape you were in before death and before your muscles tightened up... because of death, etc. So... the contortion of a corpse... it doesn't necessarily speak to the way a person died. Not at all. Anyway... the most likely theory is the one I'm going with. Johnny was a lifelong junkie. He overdosed. There's just not enough evidence to suggest some murder mystery. ....And that's the end of the Johnny Thunders story.
