Ya in the US this style was more early 90s. Maybe late 80s but definitely saw more of what Carreys rep'n here in the 1990s. The 80s were a bit different. Im not much of a style guy so its hard to explain but I know it when I see it.

You will notice that making that movie literally made Jim Carrey crazy. He truly gained mental health issues after that movie and if you watch the bio of it you will see it in his eyes. I liked Bruce Almighty and Liar Liar but I think his best work was that movie the number 23. I always felt he would make a good dramatic actor with a touch of evil, he should do a serial killer type role. This dude made it because his comedy was all his own...such a unique character and mind to do what he does...that guy must've been one hilarious friend to have in school.

*"his impression of posh English schoolkids at the end may just be his best impression ever"* I don't know....I've never been to England myself, but that accent sounded about as working-class as it gets.

The amazing thing about this is that Johnny has been doing this show for 30 years by this point and had seen it all. But he was still blown away by this 29 year old kid. No one had ever done comedy this way before and Johnny recognized that.

Thank you Jim Carrey for all of the laughs and entertainment, and shocking truths throughout my time of knowing you as a celebrity that help me to express myself and make me feel understood as a person. Wish you were a brother!(Although if you were, I might not like you as much.)

This can be perfectly the scene of the Joker of Phoenix, and he could be a reeeeally good Joker as well.

I think 10 years ago he could have nailed that part but a bit too old now.
@atrociousrabbit43784 жыл бұрын
He’s just a few years older than Jack Nicholson was as joker. I think he could still do it. Especially with today’s movie skills. Of course I would have to be an older Batman too. Would’ve been good with Ben affleck maybe
@mrskeltal32814 жыл бұрын
I think his style was more suited to the light-hearted batman films of the 90's. He was a good Riddler.
