After finally getting round to playing through this game via the HD collection I suddenly don't want Kojima to remake it anymore. MG2 was SO ahead of it's time it actually holds up against the others if your willing to overlook the superficial things. After playing it for days all the gripes about how outdated it is have just been drowned by just how deep, diverse, exiting and just plain metal gearry it is. 1990... Kojima really is god...

Everyone talks about the sequel more than they do this game. This game became legendary in its own way that Outer Heaven and Zanzibar Land is talked more about in the sequels. People only remembers Shadow Moses.

I actual hate that Kojima hired Gregson-Williams after MGS1, Konami's in house music has always been iconic and very few of the latter day MGS tracks were memorable the way this is.

Listening to this now and thinking what MGSV could've been...... shame. I loved the ending and the rest of the game, but it just didn't feel..... Metal Gear to me.

In my opinions... How to make an awesome MGS 1 & 2 MSX. 1 - Contract Sylvester Stallone to make facial and body capture. 2 - Make a giant armor with more than 100 packs of cigars. 3 - Make a giant battle of metal gear 50 x 50, snake is young in this game, he has much force and will.

This and MG1 deserve remakes. I don't see why everyone is hellbent on seeing MGS1 being remade for whatever future consoles lie ahead.

@soniccjbusca I wouldn't say "depressing", I never felt depressed listening to them. I would call it "emotional". I enjoy listening to them because some are amazing melodies which can get to the heart, espially while playing the game. Not being a dick or nutin, I totally agree with you though! You describe each other game well. MGS1 best for sure, Discovery! Escape!

They say that Big Boss said he was his father, a reference to Les Enfants Terribles it's not mentioned in the MGs but it is not a translation error. And believe me, I have hundreds of ideas as to what they should do in a Mg and MG2 remake (if only someone would make it).

I loved this game, hell, I got beaten worse than that time in Dolinovodno but it was brilliant regardless.

Spoilers! So, in MGS1, Miller is murdered by Liquid (or his men). Ocelot was working with Liquid, while actually working with Solidus (Mr. President), but actually loyal to Big Boss. Miller worked with Big Boss, but Ocelot seemingly didn't stop Liquid from murdering him. So, I would guess from that that Miller betrayed Big Boss, which would make sense of why Miller was on Solid's support team during MG2. So, anyone else think that Miller is going to betray Big Boss (again?) in MGS5?

Apparently we found Kaz drunk at his house pretending to Liquid and the Patriots AI. But the real Liquid revived himself with nanomachines and has gotten hands on an bunch of RAYS. However Meryl is currently with Johnny.
