Had the great pleasure of seeing Matt (and a host of others) drop into a local pub after performing a gig across the street. For over 2 hours there was a constantly rotating lineup of stellar blues players hanging out with each other and playing what they liked. Fantastic evening that I just happened to luck into on my way home. No cover, no pomp, no egos .... just a hellaciously fine jam session.

Matt opened for OCMS last night in Kalamazoo, MI. An amazing guitarist and singer. Came out & played with the band midway thru their set,3 songs if I remember right. Then OCMS had him come out for the encore. A class act all the way around. I had never heard Matt before, but he is good.

A friend of mine just promoted Matt Andersen on a mini tour through eastern Ontario...didn't get to see it myself, but I guess it was simply amazing. People on their feet, at almost every sold-out show. Trying to get him back through Ottawa and such this fall. Check it out - the best description I heard was "you lose yourself"...I can't wait!!!
