This DIY Hamster house would look amazing in any cage but would look fantastic in a natural themed hamster cage, this hamster hide takes about 3 days to make most of which you will be waiting on the glue to dry but honestly once you have made it and the diy hamster house is completed it is totally worth it this diy hamster toy looks amazing when its in the cage:)

Wow this looks pretty easy!! I am thinking about getting 2 dwarfs and housing them together and I'm only a kid who doesn't have a lot of money so thank you so much for this idea!!😌💛

I would highly recommend not housing your dwarfs together, there is a high chance of them fighting later down the line, if you are determined to get a pair of dwarfs do a lot of research first 🙂, thank you this DIY is really easy 🙂

@dracomalfoys no please do not. I was babysitting friends hammies and both lived in the same tiny cage. I knew that something bad would happen. One of them died because they fought to the death

The glue is PVA glue, which is widely accepted to be safe. It's non toxic and water soluable, so although they can get sick if they eat too much (and I mean like globs of it, which is impossible to be dangerous with the thin layer shown). Definitely not lethal lmao

rlly nice idea and has that natural look to it but might i suggest u switch the pva glue with a paper mache paste. flour+water. much safer for your hams. even though it says non toxic i’ve read on forums and heard in vids saying it still can be harmful!

At the begining they put non-toxic glue, children safe glue is a pretty good option

I just bought some sisal string but it literally smells like hot tires. Google said it's typically treated with petroleum giving it a gasoline or oily smell. Can I really use this?

Sisal string is perfectly safe and doesn't contain Gasoline or any toxic chemicals :)

I would suggest not to use it if it smells unnatural, but treating sisal string with gasoline would be extremely counterproductive and expensive.

Hamsters don't "eat" things that aren't edible (usually). They'll just chew it and spit it out. Perfectly safe for this project.

Hello, I don’t think a ballon is safe for a house. What if the hamster decides to nibble on the ballon and it pops? Hurting the hamster and stressing it extremely.

If you watched the video the whole way through you would have seen that the balloon was popped and removed it was just to build the structure 🙂.
