Here's my full interview with NSA Whistleblower Edward Snowden - it’s the longest interview I've ever posted.

I once was unsure if Edward Snowden -- who leaked documents showing that the NSA spied on Americans -- was a hero, or a traitor who made us all less safe.
Now I've done my research, and I think he's a hero. What do you think? Our full interview, above, will help you decide.

I served in the US Army for 24 years. We were all taught that "I was following orders," was not a defense of wrong doing. We were obligated to refuse to follow illegal orders. Snowden saw what happened to others who tried to report illegal activities. Snowden did the right thing. Mr President, please pardon Snowden.

Exactly! Briefings all the time reminding us we could not monitor US citizens. “Stay in your lane, Bro” is usually derogatory but it’s extremely important for the government. Because the government has so much power it MUST be constrained.

I did 4 in the marines and 19 in the Army. I know what you are saying but at the same time he took an oath and I can say that my team have done things that may be considered illegal by an average citizen but I took an oath and my word in my bond. If you get and unlawful order you report it via chain of command. You dont release classified info to the public.

I don't disagree, however he's not just a whistleblower - he gave away national security secrets. As a security analyst myself - he could have culled the information he released a helluva lot better than he did. No problem - give away program names, general procedures, etc. - basically proof of what is happening. There was no reason to indicate the exact methodologies to our enemies. That's the problem he has. A Pardon won't even help him in some regards unfortunately. The President can pardon him of Federal offenses - he cannot protect him from civil offenses nor military tribunals.

@@MandrakeDCR he wasn’t in the Military at that time! And if he hadn’t divulged what he did we might not have understood the depth of what a corrupt government we have. What was his civil offense? Even President Trump thought he could “drain the swamp” but a swamp has no beginning and it has not end it just goes on and on. Their are many who are nice and have moral fortitude, not many who have integrity that can’t be bought at some point in time. Not many men will sacrifice their own lives for the good of their countries. So their countries will know how much the Government lies. Lying to Congress is a criminal offense and yet those who we know are lying to Congress have to pay no consequences for their deeds or their lies but we do.😳 I can’t stand to hear the Elites say “NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW”....that is a huge joke. THEY are all above the law and it sickens Americans like me who know what a farce that statement is every time we hear it.🙄

State TV (Fox News at the moment until it changes) go out of their way to constantly get it into trumps heads to not pardon him. Every guest that talks about him calls him a traitor. Usually that speaker is connected To the govt. nobody outside the government would call him a traitor. That’s how we know we can’t trust the govt . The whole country agrees with Snowden and what he did was the right thing. How is it that it’s the govt vs civilians? They are supposed to represent us. And they aren’t. What happened was so insanely unconstitutional, that I find it hard to believe that calling him a traitor is enough to undermine his efforts to expose what happened.

@@emstacy5230 Ehe te nandayo !? I agree that even in abyss in complete darkness a lighted match will illuminate the way. But still one thing all of us haveto understand that we even by observing this world are shaping it, this is why each of us has to learn to take responsibility and not delegate it to others and hope that somehow magically it will work out because as we see if we leave it as it is and hope someone will fix it we get to the situation which we are in now where lies and deceit became norm, where a narrative of us being bad and having a parasitic nature is pushed upon us though most of us a good people and don't wish bad for anyone but because of 1% who are most probably real psychos and they want to have everything under their control loads of bad things happen, I will stop ranting and just say hopefully next week we will have major shifts and this brave people will get pardoned and get the praise they deserve. They want to bury people like him. Look what they did to Shaffer cox. 28 years in prison for doing nothing more than telling the truth. There are hundreds of these people in federal prisons today. Most in supermax prisons with no contact to the outside world. Pardoning him is it. That's the onky way he will ever be able to come home. But,it won't happen. He threw the DNC under the bus. The Clinton's, obamas. And because Trump is a socialist Democrat, he won't pardon Snowden. It just isn't going to happen. If it was going to it would have already happened.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this wasn't just a conspiracy against the American people. In fact this was a conspiracy against all people. Remember they hacked Angela Merkle's phone. Yep, I completely get that, she's obviously supporting terrorism. Without trying to be a smartarse, the whole pretext of mass surveillance is "We need to monitor everyone so we can can ascertain who is a threat" Then why are you spying on the leaders of an allied country? America is so paranoid since 9/11, that's gotta change. Cause to be honest if you don't then the people who crashed those planes on 9/11 have won. You think their plan was to crash four planes and kill 3000 people ? No, their plan was not to attack some buildings, ultimately their plan was to attack democracy and freedom. Starting to seem like a pretty successful plan America needs to reset, understand what happened, why it happened but never lose sight of the fact that you are supposed to be the leaders of the FREE world.

He spoke up as a whistleblower. It ruined his career and launched a CIA investigation of him, my mother, and me and my siblings who were all adults with families of our own. The CIA interviewed our neighbors and employers. The only thing to come from the investigation was the unbelievable stress of the investigation on our family. It's probably best that he wasn't pardoned. Chances are, there's gonna be a few unhappy people with deep pockets waiting for him back home

Demoscratic "voting" has been a missleading form of social balance rights union 49/51 % majority rule or democratic exchange, from the get go..when candidates are cherrypicked ahead (not for their values or skill, or by the people) and voters are bought, sold, propagandized steered or cast out of the whole process

This is very True. Like my Brother, my Brothers Ability To with Technology is compared to Snowdon, but no one wants there skills, the Governments afraid that Fraud Committed by our officials will be uncovered. It's ok For The Government to spy on us but it's not ok for we the people to spy on them. Time for complete Transparency
