I've been watching you and other journal creators for a little while now. Recently I've started my first project and I did a bit of glueing pages together in an exposed binding book I was given to take notes in at an old job. I'm adding strength to a few pages and covering up notes I wrote in pen. I intend to create lots of invitations, pockets, bands, clips, and tucks in the book, and then drop it in one of my neighborhood little free libraries.

I especially liked your first collage tip, and how you set up your "play" space to begin. Brilliant. I am a beginner and have been stuck on actually making something because everything is neatly tucked into bags and boxes. I love to make junk journals but add my own twist it’s kinda a mix of a junk journal and sketchbook. I love the fact when it’s big and thick and just so messy and busy, I usually add my drawings or doodles from school into my junk journal, it’s like a little mini gallery when I carry it around

I enjoyed your tutorial, but what I valued most was the advice about mindset at the end. I think its so easy to get caught up in thinking everything I do has to look just like what everyone in the videos are doing that I lose the joy in crafting. Thank you for reminding me that its the joy not the perfection that I'm after.

Thank you for sharing another great idea! The organization tips were great, too. I like the idea of cutting out focal points ahead of time, so the creative process isn’t slowed down. I also find if things are out of sight, they don’t get used. I like to rotate my supplies every so often.

Awesome tutorial! Awesome tips! I love the organization one. I have the cereal bag that I made to organize little pieces together and you can still see what's inside.
