The EPA is coming after your performance cars, and now is the time to act to stop them. They have made it a high priority to end the efforts of race car builders, and any brand or person supplying them with support. That means that even the guy want to do a cam swap on his own Mustang, or lady going to the dealership to buy a Hellcat is going to feel the sting of the renewed EPA push to end motorsports. This is exactly why we need to fight back!
It’s no secret that the EPA has made it their top priority to end all of the cool performance stuff we do. From intakes, to superchargers, to exhaust, the EPA is trying to end the aftermarket. They’re going after race cars, race tracks, and the ability to modify a stock vehicle. This effects everybody, not exclusively the race car drivers or team owners; even the Mustang drivers wanting to cam swap or guy going down to the dealership to buy a Hellcat, everybody needs to push back.
The EPA has ruled that street vehicles cannot be converted into race cars for off-road use, even if they will never see a public road ever again. This has huge implications for our American freedom to enjoy the hobby we love so much. Many racers, race series’, and manufacturers face the potential of being shut down for good if the EPA decides to act. That is why we need to fight back!
The Save Our Racecars initiative has the backing of over 150 legislators and counting who agree that the EPA is threatening to overstep its bounds should it act on its ruling. The Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports (RPM) Act is essential to our right to modify and race cars. Without it, an entire segment of our nation lives in uncertainty. The entire car community must come together now to let our legislators know the importance of the RPM Act. As our racing partners reiterate in this video, we need your help to keep up the fight to save our hobby. Even if you’ve done it before, contact your congressperson again and make your voice heard. The RPM Act will protect our rights to race and modify our cars and allows manufacturers to support us with parts to improve our cars.
