I love Polpos logic here. The goal was always to turn applicants into stand users, but he's still useful if he "succeeds". He might not be as useful as a stand user, but it would still prove that he's both a skilled pickpocket and willing to follow orders

Let's be real The true reason Giorno killed Polpo was cause he ate his pizza from the middle

This moment was one of my favorites in the entire show, Giorno has two sides for a father, a pure, righteous side and an evil and maniacal side. This scene perfectly captures that as Giorno brutally kills Polpo for a righteous reason.

Perfect out of context moment: "You insulted that innocent old man's life, so I changed one of your guns into a banana."

Giorno has the kindness and empathy of his father Jonathan. But he also has the cunning and ruthlessness of his father Dio.

This really defines Giorno. With the savagery of Dio and the heart of Jonathan, he avenged that poor old man

Rip favorite stand. Also I like how (even for a split second) they show Black Sabbath before he died, trying to get the gun (or whatever he was doing) like he had done in the manga. Little details.

I honestly don't know why people don't like Giorno. He's the most tactful jojo I've seen till now. He thinks everything methodically and is calculative in his approach unlike the rest of the joestars. He's a mob character done right and has an amazing theme. Pure perfection ❤️

I like how normal weapons are still very effective in Jojo. In other animes you’ll the overpowered characters dodge/deflect bullets with ease, but in Jojo guns are still very deadly regardless of your Stand.

I like how Giorno doesn't look at Polpo while he eats the pizza, likely because he's both disgusted at him for moral reasons and also because he's probably _literally_ disgusted at him.

I love the framing of this scene. It's not like most victory scenes in a Jojo season. It has the suspense and unnerving nature of a high-stakes discussion in a mafia flick.

1:16 to 2:20 Damn Polpo's whole speech was so intimidating. Big ups to the voice actor and HUGE respect for araki for making a speech like that.

I think this is the perfect intro to Giorno's personality. And there's a lot of early fights/encounters in each part that demonstrates each Jojo's personality. Its like this Jonathan's fight on Orge St. shows how compassionate and just he is. Joseph fighting Straizo showing how devious and how he has a devil may care attitude. Josuke when he's afraid of a turtle, but kind enough to save the turtle, but don't you dare insult his hair. Giorno has this. He wants to be a Gangster because a Gangster was the only one who treated Giorno like he was a person and he wanted to earn that respect and be the time of person who could do that for others. He doesn't want to hurt innocent people, but he has no mercy for those who prey on the innocent and this scene demonstrates just how far he was willing to go. I can't really think of one for Jotaro cause he's my least favourite Jojo. All I can think of is the Alessi fight, but that's closer to the latter half of the part.

Imagine someone who never watched jjba reads the title of this video.

Polpo's death is so quick and easy, you even see him summon Black Sabbath right be before he dies, yet when he does, there's nothing left. No smoke draining off him, his spirit doesn't appear, nothing. It's like Kakyoin said, it was too quick.

The compassion for life like Jonathan, with the ruthlessness against his enemies like Dio.

2:16 You can see the Dio in Giorno's eyes when he gives that look.

Mess with the Gio, you get the Dio.

I love the added touch that out of instinct, Black Sabbath instantly tried to protect his user, just as we saw at the start of part 3 with Jotaro and Star Platinum.

This is the scene that makes me love part 5 jojo protagonist as my favorite. He has all the jojo personality, the life/creation ability dio and kars had. The cool color scheme and great risks.

I always remember and relate this to Bruno’s backstory. Him fighting back over being insulted (his father being attacked), and killing his attackers; Polpo saying “I believe that God forgives even murder.” is true since Bruno, when ascending, had been forgiven by whatever higher force exists in the universe of JoJo, therefore allowing him to rest in peace.

There's literally no way for an Italian to get this fat, like, are you telling me he never had to run from his mother with a wooden spoon? Nonsense. Edit: never mind, his philosophy is really accurate, south italians are really friendly and they forgive almost everything, but if you insult them they go completely insane, i've seen it myself.

I always thought Polpo's scene was just window dressing but I just realized the line "I will risk my life over being insulted" foreshadows Diavolo's death. Well played.

THIS is when I fell in love with Giorno Giovanna. This scene really showed how cunning and righteous he is. He killed Polpo in such a way a villain would, but he did it for such a just reason. God the music and the shots of Giorno and his stand acting out to kill him is so wonderfully made, I can't get enough

Polpo has honestly my favourite voice in JJBA thus far, it's just so interesting to listen to

Polpo is seriously a minor but extremely profound character. The quote with trust, betrayal & death along with the “what people say & do are vastly different things, the greatest and worst thing about people” is great.

I just love how instant the gunshot is at the end. The dialogues stops, the sound effects stop, it just leaves that gunshot ringing in your ears

That frame where Polpo shoots himself where Black Sabbath appears just behind him was even cooler to see in the manga cuz it's right there in your face to stare at the entire time except for half a second in the anime.

Part 5 is still one of my favorite animated jojo’s the atmosphere is cool

here in spain we have the saying "what doesn't kill you makes you fat". in this case it's the exact opposite.

Like Jonathan, he does not let someone who harms innocents go unpunished... by killing him in a cold blooded, decepitve fashion, like Dio would. Giorno truly has two dads and got the best of each.
