I use jojoba oil as a moisturizer for my face and it's the only thing that doesn't break me out or make my face greasy. I've struggled with acne for the last 17 years but I find it doesn't make it worse, it actually calms the redness.

Excellent video! Over a decade ago I stumbled upon my first Jojoba in the Sonoran Desert. After identifying it, I knew I found something special that was native to AZ. It wasn't until 2 months ago I bought a bottle to aid in moisturizing and healing some reoccurring blemishes around my belly button area. Amazingly, the blemishes have stopped forming and the old have reduced to a faint sight. The last month I've been rubbing a little into my arm pits after a shower before bed. Next morning I apply a natural deodorant and after my 8 hour shift working outdoors, I'm barely stinky! Some other things that the video might not have mentioned in detail is that, like most carrier oils, jojoba oil is an excellent exfoliator. It also works wonders for small, but irritating hemorrhoids although science hasn't seemed to prove this yet. The last 2 weeks I've been drinking whey protein shakes 1-2 times a day and the relationship between whey intake leading to rising DHT (testosterone) levels which influence overproduction of sebum has brought back some acne in my prone areas. Jojoba applied as a spot treatment has seemed to counteract my sebum rise. It's been 1 week and inflammation has greatly reduced and no others have formed. I've also applied it to cat scratches and/or minor skin wounds and within days my skin has healed with all but a trace. It's truly an amazing gift from nature that I found (used) much too late in life. But now at 40, this man can say better late than never =)

@@sofie8846 I glide the jojoba oil over my face until it breaks everything up. Use the method Dr. Dray uses on the eyelashes. Then I put my cleanser on right on top of it. Typically one with salicylic acid. I suds up then wash off. I wear makeup & sometimes waterproof mascara. This takes everything off & my skin is not dry at all.

Hi Dr Dray I am so glad you did this video and so glad you always say that nothing is fool proof . I have acne prone oily skin and I have used jojoba and almond oil for makeup remover on my face with no problem . I started using it as an eye makeup remover . After a few weeks my eyes started bothering me I thought I had a stye on each eye . I went to my eye doctor and they were actually clogged glands one was on my lid and one was under my lower eye( they were huge and painful) . I was on drops and also a medicine . I did tell him what I did , that was the only change in my skin care/makeup and he felt that was the culprit. As I said before since finding you I have made so many positive changes ,especially wearing less makeup . I recently purchased the colorscience tinted sunscreen and powder and eye serum , and stopped using my heavy base and concealer . Thanks so much !

Went for my six month body scan today and he found two small pre-cancer spots on my face and took them off. Just a reminder to those living in the sunbelt that you should see a Dermatologist for a body scan, especially if you’ve been a sun bather. Don’t do what I did and wait until you need a MOH’s procedure and need to have small spots removed regularly. A word to the wise - prevention and early detection are key.

Dr. Dray, my pores ate stretching at a rapid rate and I have read that once the stretch, they don't go back to size. This truly alarms me because it is happening right on my nose (where one has stretched out right in the middle of it) and now theres more stretching next to it. My cheeks as well. I will wash my face with a non-comedogenic, oil free face wash and I kid you not, I will just stare at my face and literally witness another pore stretch out right before my eyes! What could be the cause of this?? I dont use any products with oil in them, but my skin has always produced an excessive amount of oil. I truly mean excessive.

If you use something that has like hyaluronic acid in it or similar what could be happening is that it's slowly purging your pores and cleaning them out. I'm not sure what your age is,but from what I saw in another video was when our pores get cleaned out it looks like our pores are getting bigger when in reality it's that they aren't full of gunk. I remember them saying as you get older our pores do kinda loosen up a bit so it's important to use products with Collagen in them to help. But no,your pores aren't getting bigger i think what might be happening is..they are just getting cleaned out. Also if your skin makes excessive oil, make sure your using the right stuff for it. Use stuff that is for "oily skin" and not dry skin...dry skin products will strip to much oil making you produce more. Just get things that are right for your skin type.

@@mareamahmed4426: Hi, I'm in the UK and got it from a seller called uk-freshskin on ebay.co.uk. It's their own Fresh Skin make, and they also have a website - www.freshskin.co.uk. I contacted them after I received it as it had a smell which made me think it might contain essential oils, but they have assured me it's nothing but jojoba oil and that the smell is natural to the oil , and I have been using it with no problems. Hope this helps :)

Jojoba oil broke me out but on my hair it’s the holy grail. Saved my hair many times lol and I’m a hairstylist I have access to all products but jojoba just restores the moisture of dry hair. Leave on overnight on hair (braided) and wash the next day. Do once a week until your hair is back to life ✨

Hi Dr Dray, can I use jojoba oil like a body moisturiser? I’m currently doing so and my skin feels baby soft and not greasy at all, but I wondered if it’s technically just ‘coating’ the skin or if it is sinking in and improving the actual skin? It feels amazing, but I want to know that it’s truly doing some good by itself without having to use a cream underneath.

@@gaborgubala9728 Hi Gabor - I''m not still using it as a body moisturiser, I did like it but I use a cream that sinks in a little quicker now. I find that a mix of jojoba, salt and sugar makes the perfect body scrub though. Unlike other oils it doesn't leave that oily coating.

I have had acne for years and I started using jojoba oil as a moisturizer last winter, and it did help alot. I of course still had acne because I always have some but my skin clearly became more healthy. I quickly found out that it is too oily for my face in the humid spring and summer, so I just use it under my eyes at night. Next winter I will go back to using it as a moisturizer, under my sunscreen of course!
