It's ability is to open a person's spirit by making their face open up like a book where Rohan can read all the secrets of their life. If Rohan decides to write in the book, he can make things about them come true. I'm not sure about this game, but I know in one of the other games he writes "You cannot attack Rohan Kishibe" which makes your attack buttons not work for a while.

The cool thing about the Jojo series thats not evident in the games is that the battles are not one by brute strength but by how they use their powers in unusual ways. Its mainly about outwitting your opponent and thats what keep JoJo fresh and interesting

The nickname itself originates from the person's first and last name, unless the person isn't directly related to the bloodline (like a certain Elvis-haired illegitimate son) then it'll just come from the person's first name.

For the "friction" ability - basically, Soft & Wet (named after Prince's debut single of the same name) can create bubbles. When the bubbles pop they can take away a property of a person or object. For example, Soft & Wet can remove the sound from a light switch, the air from someone's lungs, the sight from their eyes, elasticity from an elastic band etc. He can also return them with another bubble too. Hope this makes sense :)

Also, the names of the Stands in this game are altered a little. Due to fears over copyrights, any Stand or character named after a musician, band or song has had it's name changed in the captions (for instance, the little airplane is called Aerosmith, but in the captions it's called LIl' Bomber). If you listen to what the characters are saying, they usually say the proper name in heavily accented English though.

The heat attacks in this game are crazy. A million effects on the screen at once, travelling at the speed of light, it’s hard to make sense of them even while you’re playing the game

Quick things about Jojo: Jotaro is not the ONLY Jojo, he's the third. Jojo is the title of the main character. Each season/part has a main character named Jojo based off their name. Jonathan Joestar, Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, etc. The guy who steals friction is Josuke Higashikata from Part 8. His power isn't just that he steals friction, he can steal ANYTHING. Any attribute you can think of, he can steal from ANYTHING. Friction is just his signature move but he could easily steal your ability to breath or to see. The female character is Lisa Lisa who's a master of the Hamon martial art that allows humans to fight vampires. She's 50 years old even though she looks young as training in it extends your lifespan. She's a main character in Part 2 and the master of Joseph Joestar, the Grandson of Jonathan and Grandfather to Jotaro. The pimp cowboy is a character names Gyro Zeppeli from Part 7. He's a major character with the ability to infuse objects with an energy called the Spin which us so strong it can shake the barriers of reality. Sindel hair is Yukako. She's Koichi's, the kid you thought was her brother, stalker who kidnaps him and borderline tortures him for a bit. Eventually they make up and they develop a genuine relationship. The stripper guy is named Kars. He is a Pillar Man from prehistoric times. The Pillar Men are the strongest race on earth, except they cannot bear the heat of the sun. They all have unique powers. Kars' power is that he can stick diamond chainsaw blades out of his arms and cut through anything. All Pillar Men can shrink into tiny spaces that aren't airtight, regenerate, fuse different objects together including people, super strength and speed, immortality, and genius intellecr. A weak Pillar Man was able to learn all the all about the modern world just by draining a single soldier. Kars also gains new powers after becoming the Ultimate Life Form. He does this using a stone mask he created and a rare red stone. He used the Stone Mask to become the father of Vampires and use them as a food source, then perfected the experiment to gain more power. As the Ultimate Life Form, Kars has the powers of EVERY living thing. He can turn any part of his body into another animal part or ANOTHER ANIMAL itself. He uses this to make wings with feathers that harden into scales that transform into piranhas once they hit a target. He is the most powerful character without a Stand in Jojo and its theorized that if he ever returned to earth after his defeat he could possibly have the power to copy other Stands. Dio is the main villain of Jojos. He is the first Jojos nemesis and his stepbrother, though his most famous duel is with Jotaro. Without spoiling much, Dio is one of the few villains in fiction who actually wins even though Jotaro destroys him in Part 3. He sets up plans throughout the series that continue to haunt the family until his ultimate victory.

the guy with the ink pen is Rohan Kishibe and he's a manga artist. His stand, Heaven's Door, allows him to turn people's faces into book pages and this allows him to read their minds as well as write commands into it. The commands can range from something simple like "you can't look back" but it can also range to really specific like "you will come back to my house every day and every time you left my house, you won't remember anything that happened inside". He might also be the mangaka's favorite character no matter how many times he denies it, he has his own spin-off series after all

That's why they both have the same catchphrase "Yare Yare Daze/Dawa" which translate to "Good Grief" The thing is, in Eyes of Heaven the premise is heavily centered around time travel and anomalies so the Jotaro that Jolyne is paired up in this game is her dad when he's 17 years old from 1988 while she's from 2011 Jonathan Joestar the original Jojo is from 1888/89. Then we got the old man with the fedora and spiky vines is Joseph Joestar, Jonathan's grandson. He's in his 60s in 1988 and Jotaro's grandpa

Rohan, the "writer guy" is a manga artist. His ability is to turn people's faces/bodies into books with pages. He can then write whatever he wants on the pages, and whatever he writes in the pages becomes reality to the person. The ones in the punching angle one are father and daughter. Also that last one with the two blondes, those are father and son, though they never met in the show cause the father was a previous and already defeated villain, the son is one of the good guys that appears in later parts of the story, years after his father’s death, but it’s nice to see them team up in the game

One unfortunate thing that doesn’t come across from the subtitles, is there are a lot of the characters and stands (the things they summon) are named to reference American rock bands and music. Example being the little bullet guys are called Sex Pistols and the little plane is Aerosmith. All because the writer of the series is a huge fan of American/western rock music.

Stands and abilities are so complicated that most of the fights is the characters and the audience figuring out how the enemies Stands/powers work lol.

You really got to watch this shows though to understand the beauty of some of these attacks. But this show you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll feel every type of emotion. Some stuff stupid for but overall it's one of the best anime to watch

Jojo is literally an anime about poses, every fight they pose first, hell even the enemies pose first and all their names and even attack moves are literally band names and songs names

If you’re wondering why some of the characters were breathing funny during attacks, that’s a power system called Hamon. It’s initially used as a mixture of sun heat and electricity to kill vampires and zombies. Concentrating breathing helps Hamon flow better, thus allowing for stronger attacks. You probably noticed Joseph and Caesar doing this breathing very noticeably in their dual heat attack (which is literally taken straight out of the anime/manga, where one will channel positive Hamon and the other negative Hamon, causing an internal overload and explosion). If a Hamon user trains constantly in it, they seem to age much slower. The character Lisa Lisa looks very young, but she’s a master of Hamon at 50 years old. Hope this explained the funny breathing lol :)

The time it would take to explain a lot of these abilities would be about an hour, and that’s the short version. The small guys on the bullets are Sex Pistols, they are numbered 1-7 skipping 4 cause their user (Mista) thinks 4 is unlucky and they can redirect bullets up to 6 times. Soft & Wet can steal any property from something with the bubbles it produces such as friction or even someone’s sight. Gyro is the pimp cowboy and he’s an Italian that came to America to participate in the Steel Ball Run to prevent a child’s execution that he would have to preform.

the sindel haired chick is called yukako her stand is called Love Deluxe and she was at first a bad guy because he kidnapped Koichi (the guy with the alien baby stand which has 3 forms btw) but after Koichi beat her she became somewhat of an ally. The male stripper is called Kars and was on of the first villains for JoJo, first he was one of the Pillar Men which were found in egypt frozen in stone, just like the carbonite thing in star wars. The other 2 Pillar Men were called Wamuu (a guy who can shoot tornados) and Esidisi (who uses acid to melt his opponents and even become parasitic and take over bodys). But back to Kars, as he found the Stone Mask and the Red Stone of Aja he became the Ultimate Lifeform, where he can do basically anything. He gets Superhuman intelligence, Senses and Strength, is Immortal, can regenerate from everything and he has all the DNA from every living organism on earth in his body so that he can give himself Wings or detach body parts which function on their own. In the Anime he turned his Hand into a flesh-eating squirrel or his feathers from his wings into armadillo-scale projectiles which then turned into piranhas and tentacles to take down a plane. He also can alter his body to withstand all conditions like being thrown in a vulcano.

Stand is Hierophant Green. Is able to unravel itself into long strings, and form crystals it can blast at targets offensively. Able to create fire and flame constructs and control them in a mostly precise manner. 3:35 Old Joseph Joestar. Stand/Hamon user. Stand is Hermit Purple. That isn't barbed wire, it's his stand, and it's thorny purple vines. They almost perfectly transmit Hamon, and they allow Joseph to predict things using a polaroid camera. though he destroys the camera in the process. Yes same Joseph from part two. 3:44 Iggy. Stand User. Stand is The Fool. He's able to control sand and make constructs of it, which includes making duplicates of people, but the big construct is what he usually makes. The constructs are able to take on properties of what they're mimicking, hence while the hang glider on the standard form works. 3:55 John Pierre Polnareff. Stand User. Stand is Silver Chariot. Capable of light speed attacks using that rapier, and even faster when his stand drops the armor. 4:02 N'Doul. Stand User. Stand is Geb. Horus is able to make ice constructs to deadly effect. 4:30. Hol Horse. Stand User. Stand is The Emperor. It's literally just a gun with infinite ammo and aimbot cheats. His heat attack shows J.Geil's stand The Hanged Man, which can hide in any reflective surface and attack you via your reflection. This includes reflections in eyes. 4:40 Vanilla Ice. Stand User/Zombie. Stand is Cream. He can hide within it's mouth, and when doing so, is practically invulnerable to attacks, and anything his stand passes through in this state is obliterated, deleted from the planet, just straight gone. Obviously gameplay wise that specific strength was nerfed. 4:47 DIO. Stand User/Vampire. Stand is The World. Same individual as from part one. Stand is incredibly fast, precise, has high stamina, and can stop time. it's timestop ability is only growing stronger with each use of it., meaning DIO can stop time for longer and longer. gonna stop here. Anyone wanna continue it reply. Mainly cause stands after this point get a lot more complicated.

For some info. The Golden Spin is created when a Spin user has a horse gallop at its most natural pace, which generates The Golden Spin energy. Golden Spin energy is capable of some of the most overpowered things. Tusk, the pink stand you saw was capable of tearing down an interdimensional barrier that deflected attacks. And easily as well, Tusk did this almost casually. The Golden Spin is also capable of making a stand that uses spin. Like Tusk to instantly evolve further. In the manga, Tusk went from Act 3 to Act 4 by use of The Golden Spin.

The guy with the Pistol is called Mista his stand is Sex Pistols and the bullets have a personality themselfs and bullet 3 likes to bully bullet 5 in the anime. The women with style is called Lisa Lisa and is from the older JoJo episodes where there is a fighting style called Hammon which is some kind of breathing to transfer energy into the punches.

2:39 This guys name is Wamuu, he has the ability to move at high speeds, make windpipes come out of his body ( which pulls in wind ), he can dislocate his joints and can spin his left hand clockwise and right hand counter-clockwise, which enables him to do his WIND MODE attack - DIVINE SANDSTORM, but the move he used here is a special move called ATMOSPHERIC RIFT. He uses those same windpipes to suck in wind and he is able to shoot it out his horn, it makes the wind he pulled in as sharp as a razor. The only consequence of doing so it that his body will overheat thats why he rarely uses it.

Some key things to note; Jojo changed quite a lot over the course of it's volumes; in the beginning with Jonathan and his crazy hands: it's a technique known as Hamon which uses the power of punching with the power of sunlight which was used to kill vampires, once time went by; Stands started to show up and people developed their own powers DIO comes under both; he started as a vampire and then lived long enough to develop his own stand The fun thing is that with each big bad from Volume 3 onwards; the villains each had the powers of a VCR: one could stop time, one could Rewind it, one could Skip and one could fast forward time to the point of the beginning again Though some also have some bonkers powers too; like Shigechi (The Harvester kid at 6:10) could have thousands of tiny scarabs to swarm but in the series; he used his stand to crawl under things and pick up small change which soon added up to big money, some could make dinosaurs and some could just....turn adults into kids (We don't talk about Alessi)

Heavens door is such a broken ability that the user had to be taken out of the final battle of the arc. It allows the user to turn someone into a book detailing everything there is to know about them, and the ability to edit it. Like you can rewrite a persons personality, and even their weight.

I have zero reason to do this but this can be confusing for someone who hasn't watched the show so imma try explaining. A stand is essentially the manifestation of your soul and fighting spirit and they come in a variety of good, bad and situational abilities some even being completely ridiculous in terms of power likethe power or reverting everything back to zero, accelerate time to a singularity point, the power of calamity, time skipping, the power to complete earase stuff with the swipe of your hand, the power of infinity or the most powerful stand to this day which funny enough is exclusive to this game. The ability to completely rewrite reality. However there are stands that have bad abilities as well that either don't give you any benefits whatsoever or just kill you for using them. Like the stand highway to hell. Which has the ability to inflict any damage to you to be also inflicted to your target. Sounds good on paper but the damage you deal to yourself isn't negated and if you want to kill your target with this stand you'd have to kill yourself first.

If you ever have some time to kill, the second season of jojo on netflix is a great place to start. It’s easy to understand, doesn’t have stands yet, and the characters are a ton of fun.

And now another world lesson in Stand Abilites: To explain Rohan's Stand ability is like this(WIKI TIME!) Heaven's Door is a weak close-range Stand unsuited for direct combat, but has several powerful abilities. For an inquisitive mangaka like Rohan, Heaven's Door is a handy way to gather research material out of people's pasts without the hassle of an interview. Heaven's Door's basic ability is to turn people into books, pages unfurling from their bodies in the shape of whatever body part it opens from (for example, if from the face, the shape of the pages is of the person's entire face, eyeholes included). It's somewhat OP just Okuyasu's The Hand(the one who got smacked with the flower pot.) His stand is freakishly OP, but he's so dumb that he can't manifest its full Potential.

The female Jojo season (Stone Ocean) is the currently airing season so I had to skip part of your video not to spoil myself, because I see this game is full of spoilers. I love it that you have some interest in this series. You also caught some details, there is a lot of posing and pop culture references in this series. If you are interested, check out a mashup of all the openings for anime, it has some great music and you can check it out for the artwork. Anyway, the anime/manga story is a generational one and the main character for each season is somehow related to Jonathan Joestar (first Jojo from the 19th century) and the current plot is in the 2000's. Every season is a different genre and it has some recurring characters throughout the series, older versions of the same character etc. Also the rules for their power change after the first season... This is one of the rare stories where the cartoon is better than the comic book, because the music, animation and even color elevates it.
