Hi! Thanks for watching my tribute video to this absolute masterpiece of a movie. The depressing, chilling and horrifying character arc of Arthur is brilliantly showcased in this film. I tried my best to mirror all of that with this 5 minute edit. I hope you enjoyed it. Joaquin deserves a bunch of firm handshakes, you sir are one hell of an actor.

Insanely well made. The only transition that felt (to me) a bit odd was at 1:15. Other than that it was a heck of a journey mate. Congrats.

It’s the system that abandons people in need, Like lack of affordable healthcare, lack of affordable mental health treatment options, etc. these are the reasons why people like Arthur Fleck are the way they are not through any fault of their own most of the time but it’s because the society and systems they are a part of fail to do what is required of them

It saddens me. As an Infp like Arthur Fleck, he also strongly reminds me of Vincent Van Gogh (he's also an infp). His mental state deteriorated a lot just like Arthur but not murderous. But sanity is def something Infps struggle a lot of times. I wish more people would understand people like us. it's real hard to find an Infp who isn't suicidal

It's really interesting in many ways, it shows how our minds grow over time, seeing, living the reality of the world, how rot it is into the core and that's make us realize what a true hero is in society and that heroes are just peoples that took the hard way in life with villains being people's that took the easy way in life masking they're actions as much to the point we mistake them as our heroes... *There aren't many superman's but there are many homelanders in the real word.*

I think even though we as a society worship heroes, there is something so human and relatable about villains. they're often just misunderstood people that life was unkind to and they weren't strong enough to take it so they descended into darkness. I think we can all relate to that on some level and i just find the complexity of human nature and the fact that we can see ourselves like that in other people so intriguing.

It's sad because he descends into depression and anger and then violence because of his childhood. It's the only path he sees as possible. Many are able to pull themselves up out of it. He isn't.

@christenangus6966 - it's what makes this movie so good. It makes sense why he's sad, then once he understands what fucked him up he becomes angry and violent. The other Jokers are just silly, jolly and destructive for no apparent reason. No background. I didn't see The Heather Ledger version.

I been a fan of the joker, for like years. I watched everything related, read all the comics I could come by. And I think that's why I loved this movie so much. It's not only that Phoenix is doing a great acting job, but the whole movie is masterly done, and it's obvious that there was a lot of previous research, and the artistic licenses were truly well tought. Because we got a piece, that I believe that is a great origin story for one of the most fascinating villains out there. And there's nothing I would like more, to have this along with the new batman movie.

It be kind of dumb to have all the murder scenes and him killing Murray in the trailer or having Thomas Wayne telling him that he was adopted. The trailer isn’t supposed to tell you the whole story. This guy made a beautiful tribute video that tells the whole story of the character and his descent into madness in 5 minutes. Not what the movie trailer is suppose to do at all.

@@xghostx3159 well I think Batman and his skills would be much more useful and interesting if his story and Gotham were both set in a post-apocalyptic world where Gotham was one of the last cities left standing and it was being run by tyrants and Batman and his bat family were resisting against them like a kind of Mad Max vigilante version of batman. And let's be honest this version of Joker and the DC Comics version Are vastly different 2019's Joker is severely mentally ill while DC Comics Joker is just an evil nihilist he's not insane not really anyway he just does what he does to prove a point that we should all just give up and give in to the darkness like he has. In any case I think Batman is still relatable but they've got to do more than just his parents dying in front of him as his origin story don't get me wrong parents being killed right in front of you when you're just a kid that's pretty traumatic but for Bruce Wayne to become Batman I feel like it has to be more than just his parents dying that's just my personal opinion I still like batman regardless

@@ethancossell9674No, yes the movie is exaggerated a bit because it's all Arthur's story. But it's still based on what actually happened. The joke at the end followed by you wouldn't get it was referring to the fact that he just created batman. He thought Bruce and him were connected through being half brothers, however he learns they are not related at all, but by the end of the movie they are closer than ever because Bruce's parents death was the direct cause of Arthur's doing.

The Media thought this movie would inspire murderers. Instead, I've seen it inspire people to be better, to remember each other's humanity and recognize when someone is hurting. To acknowledge that someone becoming a danger can be because they've received nothing but abuse and neglect. Sometimes the darkest sides of life help build the brightest beacons. Nahh.. the movie showed to us the ugly, revolting side of reality that lives with us nowadays. This reality is disgustingly enough to turn people crazy and forget their humanity. no wonder lots of mass shootings, violence and crime are being done in broad daylight. the way this movie makes me feel is absolutely indescribable. ive never in my life felt understood by people around me and i'd constantly wonder why why whyyyy do i have to be the way i am, and seeing him struggle so hard to fit into society breaks my heart so fucking bad because at the end of the day we don't fit, we just don't, they look down on people like us, but i felt understood, by him, and the fact that he turned into something so much bigger and realized the power he has, holy fucking shit this is definitely my favorite movie ever until the day i die

It's important to realize that the "power" Arthur has at the end is a farce. Violence isn't the solution to an imposing world that towers over us and makes us small. The solution is love and to recognize the humanity in people we see everyday. I also relate to the character of Arthur in some ways, so I get where you're coming from. Just know that you're a person and the world, as frightening and large as it may be, cannot ever change that.
