The real DARK side are these Jedi "gods" who basically decide your destiny! So that many billions of life forms are refused LIFE! This has been revealed in the CGI tv show "Star wars the clone wars" - last season for the reveal. Pretty messed up religion and they use the believers as canon fodder.
