interestingly, no villager sells flint, except fletchers, but they require gravel in the trade. so lightning it is. Also, getting a lightning rod for that isn't as comlicated as it sounds, if he gets his hands on water somehow, he could drown zombies, and they have an 11% chance to drop copper, but that'd imply he got a crafting table, thus wood.

Spawning on a moss block would be interesting. A slightly easier version of one block vanilla no items no mods, but still interesting. 10:28 Haven't watched past this point but I'm guessing you're looking for emeralds to trade with the wondering trader, for saplings and such, then you'll get a diamond pick and use it to mine the obsidian towers, then you'll go to the over world via the end portal and set up a bunch of unlit nether portals, then you'll use the wood you would've gotten from the wandering traders trades, you'll place some planks and wait for lighting to strike, by that time I'm sure you would've gotten some iron, from zombies or trades or the end, you'll go to the nether with a bucket then finally you'll have a bucket of lava, the other items can be attained by villager trades or wandering trader trades or mob drops, and that's how I think you'll get all the Skyblock starting items

I may have made a couple of oopsies in this video. While researching for the second ep I noticed a few things, and I will address them at the start of ep 2. - At 12:12 I show a list of trades from the wandering trader. This is out of date. The new tradable blocks from 1.17+ are going to be super important so you should look into those. - Also I promised that everything from the grass video would be achievable here. I thought this under the assumption that all passive mobs can spawn on podzol (when in reality only foxes can). We can still get almost every drop from passive mobs through some means, but yeah... not good. I'm still looking into potential methods (ft. version hopping maybe) of obtaining the grass so hopefully I can fix this... Sorry for messing up the facts in a video where the technical puzzle is such a big element. I'll address these things in the next ep, but wanted to make things clear here first. Thanks and see you in part 2 :>

Predicting that he's gonna use blocks from the end to spawn mobs that he couldn't on the bedrock block. He'll also mine the end pillars with the pickaxe he got to make the nether portal frame, wait for lightning to light the portal, and go to the nether to get lava. He can use a cauldron (using iron he can get from naturally spawned zombies or from iron nuggets that piglins barter) and wait for rain. He'll use the lava and water to get stone, collect a golden apple from a ruined portal, and get a witch to splash weakness from on a zombie villager to cure it and obtain emeralds through it by trading it sticks(made from nether wood), and use the emeralds to get a ton of podzol and a sapling from a wandering trader. He can then turn the podzol into dirt with a shovel and turn the dirt into grass from skeletons and fossils that spawn in the nether. if the skyblock starting kit also includes pumpkin seeds, melon slices, sea pickles, sugar cane, and turtle eggs, sea pickles from a wandering trader pumpkin seeds from wandering trader melons by getting melon seeds from wandering trader and growing them sugar cane by wandering trader turtle eggs by silk touching turtle eggs that spawned from beach biomes and building fake beaches on them (as so in the one grass block video) and if skyblock starting kit requires ice, not water bucket, freeze the water by building high enough for snowfall, or place it in a snow biome. edit: saw his new comment. Checked wandering trader trades, and since 1.17 trades are important, and he doesn’t know that podzol can turn into dirt, i think he’ll trade for rooted dirt turned into normal dirt in order to plant a tree. He said he’d look for an alternative though, so he might figure out how to turn podzol into dirt

Omg but how did you get that to work? The working class has been exploited and abused in the world of Minecraft. Take a look at the villages you find among the biomes. Clearly there’s a wealth gap among the villagers as there’s a huge difference between the houses as some are well built for security and sustainability while others are built as shacks and vulnerable to mob attacks. Of course, the churches in the village are better then most houses since the villager cooperate oligarchs probably give them tax exempts so the church can influence the religious, poor working class in exchange. Why do you think there are so many abandoned mine shafts across the world? They truly reflect the failure of capitalism as monopolization has led the mineral industry to collapse by poor working conditions and bare minimum wage. The lower class villagers have no choice but to live on the conditions of the wealthy as only a village can provide safety from the dangers of Minecraft mobs. Let the ruling class tremble by the revolution the Pillagers are leading. The pillagers, the United free villagers, have nothing to lose but their chains. Ah.. a fellow technical skyblocker. :D Great vid. Bet the next vid is going to have something to do with obsidian, creepers, and piglin trades. Plus chorus fruit farms for building material. Guess the big strategy is with Wandering traders for saplings, podzol, cactus, and sand.

Hypothetically, it is possible to get to pumpkins from mobs spawned on Halloween, or enough string from spiders to make wool. With this you could expand the island and make a general mob farm. I'm aware that you couldn't get grass, and therefore it isn't possible to get wood or emeralds, but when you say there is nothing you can do without the exploit, that isn't really true...

This is why I made a data pack for my own use where the dragon fight is actually a fight. Do you like the idea of charged creepers with invisibility and slow falling spawning behind the dragon every once in a while, with phantoms that get bigger and bigger as the time progress + with a mini boss drowned with op health and resistance, even some regen effect that throws a trident triggering multiple lightning strikes. The data pack still needs some polishing tho, and it was for 1.16... so it's not public nor ready to be. Edit: I also forgot the health buff to the dragon, the respawning crystals around the center of the map, and the soul fire on the pillars to add to the look.

This version opens up a lot for the grass block skyblock. You could use the blocks you get to build away from the grass and not have to jump in the void anymore meaning it’s a lot faster and easier. You can also get the needed emeralds a lot easier with the end city

I haven't seen part two yet, but I think you're going to do a couple things. One of them is to get a fish in a bucket from the wandering villager to get yourself water, and then you're going to mine the obsidian towers in the end to get to the nether. You can light the portal in two ways, one of them is to hope for a lightning strike, and the other is to use a bed in the end. You can get wool from string, and you can get wood by trading with the wandering villager for a sapling, and some dirt. Once you light the portal you can take your bucket, and get some lava giving you a cobblestone generator. You'll also be able to get an infinite supply of wood, iron, diamonds, and gold in the nether. Plus everything else that spawns in the nether.

@DodgeThatAttack

I think the reason that you can beat the ender dragon so fast with just your hands is actually because im pretty sure if it takes enough damage while perching, it will instantly stop perching, which actually means that your enchanted gear is barely faster as the extra damage ends up giving you the same amount of damage per perch, and waiting for a perch is the majority of time either way

Nether portal sounds good, the problem is to light it. I belive the bookcase can be set on fire by lightning? From the nether you can get most things, especially iron and wood. The best way from there is likely to get more emeralds from the end (its easyier now with armor and tools). With the help of a wandering trader you get the rest of the most important things like water dirt and sapling. From there it is very normal skyblock, you need to get a cured villager for trading and then you are basically set. Very nice video i enyojed it a lot
