Jon B is the truth, he wasn't a white boy trying to be black he is just a soulful man with white skin. True talent never given the credit that he deserved as a true artist, but I will say I have never been disappointed seeing him live. He captures the audience and makes you feel as if you are the only person in the room he is singing to. Love Jon B for life

I love that dinner scene. At the beginning you see Jon B get his woman’s chair and shows he’s a good respectful man. And when her dad gets up and you anticipate tension then he hugs Jon should remind us all that if a man respects a woman... that should be all that matters in accepting their relationship. Not something trivial like skin tone. And such a good song too. Jon B is the truth.

But yea today i think the genre is call trapp music, i think. Wow this guy gets lost in the 90s era of great R&B. He made great songs and can flat out sing. Clearly came from that Babyface school of tone of his music. This is a good underrated love song. Listen too his music how many modern day R&B Singers are making records like he use too in the 90s and be honest do they sound better.

Not sticking up for JT but him and JB are in two different genre... JT is more pop while JB is more r&b... Ppl have compared Jon b in Robin Thicke together. But I have to agree with you I don't know of any other white person besides Daryl Hall from Hall & Oates and Michael mcdowell that is more soulful Then JB. I would love for him to drop sum new music 🙏🏾🤞🏾

Me too!lol! Me too lol! I must admit I was heart broken abit for my self when He finally got married to his wife. There just are not a lot of gorgeous men in R&B who look and sing like him. I've had a crush on this man since I was 17 or 18 years old maybe even youger lol! He shoud have been an identical twin so I could possibly had one for me lol!

Got to see him live in Omaha bout 3 weeks ago, and he did this song and you could swear I was a backup singer. Definitely was on my bucket list to see him, and it was EPIC!!

I’m here in 2019! Once I start listening to one 90’s jam it ends up being a damn marathon... here I am 5 hours later! Back in the day the visuals/videos made the song more powerful!
