I use to watch the show. I always felt sorry for Jon. Kate seemed so mean to him😭

My husband went through the exact same thing with a vindictive ex and 9 children. His older children who were out of the house knew the truth, but the younger ones still in the care of their mother became totally alienated. It took time, but they all eventually reconciled with their father, and loved him very much. He passed 5 years ago at the age of 79, and all.his children were at his side! Time can heal, but forgiveness, even for imagined or orchestrated offenses are imperative.

I am so glad John survived this all! Obviously he looks much better than when he was on Dr. Oz after covid hospitalization. John is a good guy and I sure wish him the very best. This is going to take time.

Dr.oz, i recently had surgery, was home and seen this episode. Basically it saved me! I felt something in the back of my leg, i decided to go to the hospital and sure enough it was a clot!

As a mom who has been through separated time from a child it hurts and especially when another parent has played a role in them not seeing you....be it intentional or not, if I was John I would write them a letter but if he can’t for legal reasons...I really hope these kids come around one day and forgive him for whatever thoughts they have had that were wrong and they can talk through it and one day have a real relationship again!

I just adore Jon, always have. Good guy! Praying all reconcile. Life is too short and I’d do anything to have my dad and siblings back. Sometimes people die too soon. Appreciate family while you have them. ❤️

I survived 4 blood clots. They are nothing to blow off. Always check for DVTs when you feel tiredness, heaviness, warmth and sharp pain in just one leg - just to be on the safe side. Be well everyone.

I absolutely love this guy, I hope one day his kids will see the truth and reconnect with their dad. They are definitely missing out on a good relationship with a good father. TLC is awful, they have destroyed many families .. someone should investigate them and their contracts

My heart aches and breaks for each person suffering today. This so hits home. Shortly after hospitalized with covid i also felt this calf pain and how scary it was with the thought that I could have a dvt or a pulmonary embolism. I really hope he feels lots better today. Many people don't realize how many people are going thru so many months even a year or so of severe post covid symptoms. Lots of compassion to all involved.

My heart hurts for this entire family. So much disconnection and they will spend an eternity healing if they every do sit down and work out their problems.

Jon don't blame yourself for what you didn't do no one perfect. And least you tried thats all you can do .

Wow this makes me more “conscious” of my sedentary lifestyle at age 62(tomorrow). I don’t have a car so I can’t just hop in a car and go somewhere. It gets into triple degrees in the summer plus wildfires so the air quality is really unhealthy. I have or have had(past few decades except past few years) severe chronic back pain from too much walking, or doing everyday things(which could throw out my back before). Plus I injured my right knee during last summer somehow making it painful to walk on it. It really is a scary thing when we don’t get enough exercise. I have never really paid attention to the old “Kate Plus Eight” show, I just hope John stays healthy for himself and everyone around him. He is still young!

The DVT could be related to be his COVID diagnosis too. COVID affects clotting.

Covid is no joke . August and I am still SOB. I’m a nurse and my 02 sat drops to below 90 while I am walking or exerting my self .

My boyfriend has had two DVT's and two pulmonary embolisms. He's almost died twice. The last time he had a PE, there was an instrument put into the right side of his neck and heparin was going into his lungs. That procedure was done back in 2018. Now, we are on our way to the hospital because a dvt passed the back of his left back knee. Please wish us luck because the surgeon back in 2018 said if he has one more PE that he won't make it.

What did he do that would make his kids stop talking to him if something happens to him they will regret it.

It's amazing Jon can do nothing right according to some people. If he answers questions about or reaches out to his estranged kids he is criticized. If he doesn't... same condemnation. Then he's crucified for signing over his parental rights due to the legal power plays by his ex wife . People seem to forget that he was dealing with a serverely toxic, highly manipulative ex spouse who was financially and publicly supported by a tv network at the time. So Jon walked and told his kids to come to him if they ever needed him. Save for two of them the others chose not to. Important to remember that children are like sponges, highly impressionable and easily indoctrinated. Kate could control the narrative of their dad as he was not there to defend himself. Should Jon have been stronger at that complicated, overwhelming and chaotic time years ago?? Probably. However, given the same situation, most anyone else would have also been forced to walk away from such a toxic and destructive ordeal. Maybe he felt that giving Kate what she wanted with parental rights would be less disruptive for his children's lives at that time? This was not a perfect situation. Therefore no outcome will be perfect either. Maybe his kids will mature enough to be independent thinkers one day??. Or maybe not. Look at what others like Brad Pitt are dealing with in regards to another mentally toxic and revengeful ex spouse. Unlike Jon, Brad at least has the financial means to try to fight for his rights to his kids. But it's not easy when the other spouse can skillfully indoctrinate the kids. It's a constant legal battle to gain access to provide some balance to what the children are led to believe. CONTEXT and empathy are sorely needed here by all 'armchair psychologists' musing on the sidelines !!

I've had to give myself Lovinox and Heparin in the stomach many many times.I pricked my finger one day,4 hrs later still not stopped .Another time cut my finger to the bone , not one drop of blood.So sometimes to me its a guessing game.When i first learned about it, went to a med library and read up very interesting.I do have to make sure i don't miss my meds up.so Jon do what the drs say.

A family member of mine died of a pulmonary embolism and she died at home. She thought she had a respiratory infection and went to the hospital and they sent her home telling her it was most likely a virus.

I've read online that Kate has moved to North Carolina along with the 4 sextuplets. This guy has gone through so much. COVID and the jab injuries are causing clots and heart disease. Dr Drew channel has been having doctors on every day for the last 3 months. Mandates for jab has been stopped.

I collected all the seasons on dvd not just because the kids are adorable, but to watch and be inspired by Jon and see Kate’s true colors come out. I would watch the show and stick up for the kids and Jon and tell Kate stop being so controlling and bossy and bullying towards Jon and the kids and listen to your kids feelings and Jon’s feelings.

I can totally see Kate being the one to say hey, kids go live with your dad and Hannah just know if you do you're never coming back to my house. So what do they do? They stay with what they know and try not to piss her off.

Parental alienation is common against Fathers . Men are seen as disposable in a society they built and sustain . The Family Court system is predominantly against men.
