Meereen was literally a testing ground meant to challenge her abilities as a leader of people rather than a conqueror. You can't expect a person who was never learned how to lead and control a city of thousands be able to effectively do so. Considering her lack of experience in the matter, she did fairly well - better than most would have in the same position.

Elizabeth Darvell - I feel like their journeys are opposites. She lived a life on the run from assassins but was still treated well by her benefactors because she had a title. Jon had the opposite of a title, he's a bastard. Dany took her power with fire and blood because it's all she wants, the throne. Jon earned his power through his actions and was reluctant to take it because he doesn't want power. Jon is the song of ice and fire, Lightbringer, born from The Prince that was Promised and Nissa Nissa. If Jon is Lightbringer, born to save the world, and he hands his power over to Dany... I'm sorry but i disagree. The fact that Dany needed three dragons to get where she is speaks for itself. Without those dragons, she would have been nowhere. Jon earned his way through everything. From being bullied by Alliser Thorne, to getting kidnapped by the wildling beyond the wall, from being a mere steward to being the Lord Commander, from being HouseStark's bastard to becoming the King in the North, he has fought and earned his way through every bit of that. I mean, who else in the history of Westeros led the Wildling and the Night's Watch at the same time?

Let me tell you something about Dany she had pretty shitty even shitter than Jon yes he was always the bastard of his family but at least he had a family and a place too call home something that Dany never had the privilege too have from the get go, all she really had was name to herself a name that was tinted with blood. Dany from a very young age went through many hardships the likes that not many people would ever have to go through in their entire life. Since the day she was born she had been in exiled moving from place to place just to stay alive since people where always out there looking for just too kill her. Her entire family has been taken from her she had no true friends all she had left was a brother who verbally and physically abused her and who sold her off as some sex salve at the age of 13 just so he could gain an army. In that marriage too Khal Drogo she had been abused and raped too the point where she actually thought about killing herself (if you read the books) Yes she latter on learned to love him, but that was only because she had no other choice other than to make the best of the situation that she was forced into. Then after she finally except and embraced her new life as the wife of a Khalasar, everything gets taken from her once again she not only loses her brother, but also her husband and her unborn child. She basically starts off with nothing all over again other than a name too herself. So no nothing ever got handed to Dany she always had fight for the things she wanted. Most people who tried to help her always secretly tried to manipulated her and expected something in return from their aid too her. Yes her dragons give her strange and power, but they do not define her as a character. The people who follow her don't follow her because she has dragons, they follow her because they believe in her and love her. She freed the slaves and gave them the choice to make their own choices, and that's what people respect about her above all else, they believe she is the one who has the power to make this world a better place. there was a lot of predictable things coming to life in GOT... especially lately... so it can happen.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Now that it's the last two seasons, people are saying "this is predictable." You didn't predict this in the first few seasons, now did you? I highly doubt it! We are all now just slowly putting pieces together since we are nearing the end... Is it just me or was this fanvideo was just to show their journey and the parallels of it? Anyway, Jon's growth (although he resist so) is as important as Daenery's growth (who learned very early on that she needed to be more) in becoming the right kind of ruler. Jon learned that because someone was born on the wrong side of the wall doesn't make them monsters and that monsters also exist within the wall. And most viewers has this idea that one or the other can only be good...Jon being the good while Daenery's must be the bad. But is that really the case? I believe there's good and evil regardless of which wall you're from and that there can be more than two good but different kind of rulers. I believe Daenery's had proven that she can be "the right kind of terrible," as Tyrion once said but appreciate the fact that she struggles along the process. She's not perfect and far from it. Jon needs to embrace his destiny just as Daenery's fought to embrace hers. He has the messiah storyline to the 'T' which I do get and love him for it but I also believe Daenery's is misunderstood as she rarely gets any credit for any of her accomplishment to get where she is now and how viewers somehow disregard any of her struggles as if everything just fell into place for her. Anyway, I love watching the two transition over time and I appreciate watching their struggles each step of the way. The parallels are there which is somewhat highlighted in this wonderful video.

Well, actually, when I saw the pilot I was like "they just gotta meet at some point, they will fall in love, yeah, totally", and I heard the same from many people, so I do think it would be predictable, but I don't think that's the reason why they won't marry. (I have this personal theory that Dany will die at the very end, but i won't go into details now :D) And yep, you got it right, this video is to show their journey and their parallels, and I'm really glad you liked it, thank you so much :))

AerisVideos Really? I didn't think much of it as I saw most of them as individuals until I started looking more into Daenerys and looking into the prophecies from the books. I always loved the idea of her character but didn't really favor her; therefore, I re-watched her scenes specifically (on YT, someone has a playlist) thinking I must've missed something. And now, I can say she is surprisingly became one of my favorite characters on GoT. I couldn't believe how much I've missed in her storyline because she got lost in other characters development and as a viewer, you couldn't help but compare hers with the others. I will have to comment on your video next time I have more time but from what I've seen, it is amazing!!!

Danerys Stormborn Even if Dany is going to go mad, how they did it was totally unjustified. No character develop to evil, but let’s throw that in there in 2 episodes. Dany has always had an interesting sense of ‘justice’ and I could have seen a decline in her reign, but not in 2 episodes. God I feel cheated after watching this it’s so epic
