The hilarious thing is that legally, the only one who can decide whether the defendant can testify is the defendant. His counsel can advise him but it's his decision alone whether he takes the stand. The judge is required to make this clear to the defendant in court, it'll be in the transcript.

Problem is that many other important things are added to the ballot. The people benefiting from all the added millages , new millages, new ballot proposal's have the yes vote lock up in there favor. @@joeb134I definitely understand this instinct. You are absolutely right that neither option is great. That said, please remember that in a two party system, a protest vote is functionally a vote for the person you like least. Liberal protest votes put Trump in office last time. I’d highly encourage you to make a compromise on your vote, and protest in a different way, perhaps by going to a protest, or supporting a local politician that better supports your views, even if they don’t have a chance. Both options are bad, but they are not *equally* bad.

At the bottom it’s really just tragic and sad, the giving over of individual dignity to a power source that does not draw on basic values, like: Everyone is equal/sacred/beautiful. You are the sacred something/nothing that everything is. Hurting anyone/anything is really hurting yourself. Love can be harsh, but never harmful to anything that matters. Letting change happen is natural. Taking time, with awareness, allowing others and ourselves to be, Brings tremendous healing to hurts and desires.
