I came here for an old interview with Jon Stewart and took psychic damage from the two commercials at the end. Thanks Inflatable Conan. 🥺👍

@@fe5018 I don't watch Oliver. He seems bogged down in negativity which is fine because there is a lot of negative news these days but it's a lecture rather than a comedy program. I liked Conan's show because he'd make a few jokes about Trump or even some Democrats but his show's focus was never politics and instead COMEDY. What a novel idea. Can't wait for Conan's HBO show.

Well, when Conan started on his daily show, Jon Stewart was also competing for the gig, and was actually lasted until the pick was between the two. So, actually if Stewart was initially hired for the job, the whole Comedy Central would have turned out different, resulting in the whole media news of the last decade turning out different, which would have resulted in today's politics being formed and shaped differently than what it has become today. We would be living in a different world man.

I know there were supposed to have been rumours early in Conan's Late Night tenure that nbc were considering replacing him with Jon (so maybe there's some residual resentment?) but Conan seems not to like Jon Stewart here. Like polite but kind of nervous uncomfortable. Just me?
@langdonalger92196 жыл бұрын
F E just you. Stewart has been on Conan’s show many times over the years. Conan has been on Stewart’s shows. Colbert, Stewart and Conan get along great.

Lionel McLure, fair enough. I just don't see that here at all.
@ryanmccarthy78586 жыл бұрын
How do you see that? They're laughing hysterically with each other, playing off of each other's jokes. If according to you that is how two people who are dislike each other interact, I'm worried about how you see friendships.
@fe50186 жыл бұрын
Alyssa-Ryan McCarthy, they're both so much better than this. "Playing off" eachother's lacklustre jokes maybe but it's pretty awkward and staid and not up to either of their usual standards. Conan came across politely indifferent and at some points, borderline pissed off (05:04 & 08:22). Seriously, when is he laughing hysterically? The closest he gets is 07:00 and the chemistry is dead by 07:40. Cheers for the condescension and "concern" though. I have serious doubts about what constitutes hilarity for you if this measures up.
@matthewrock47253 жыл бұрын
Conan said in his goodbye to Letterman he held no ill will anywhere for his show being potentially cancelled early on, because he was just so wholly unprepared and over his head back then. I would assume that same feeling would carry over towards Jon
