Two years after the release of his highly successful album Dolce Vita, Jonas Kaufmann reaffirmed his love affair with Italian music with a special concert at the Waldbühne - Berlin’s renowned stage-beneath-the-stars. In what can be seen as a wondrous zenith of his dedication to Italy and her music, the concert has become one of this year’s biggest classical music events. Sony Classical is proud to announce the release of the magical concert on DVD, Blu-ray, CD.

It ain´t just coincidence that there´s a big tenor trio composed of Pavarotti, Carreras and Domingo you BOZO.. and Kaufmann is actually closest to Pavarotti in all voice quality terms from all of them!!

When he sang the same piece at The Proms in London the audience restrained from clapping until the music had actually finished - a compliment to Turandot. Kaufmann certainly knew then that he'd "nailed it" but he had to wait for the appreciation.

Una voce indimenticabile, una tecnica impeccabile, uno sguardo cosí dolce, un sorriso incredibile, una presenza scenica unica, lingue italiane e napoletane perfette… Tutto insieme! Quest'uomo non può essere tedesco. Non ci creo. Lui è Italiano e basta! L'unico tedesco che ha è il nome. Un errore… È meglio perdonarlo, vero?

Pretty good! It's always a bit risky to perform this aria as everybody has Pavarotti's version in mind. But this was certainly no embarassement. Really good.

I'm in love! That DARK tenor...so manly. A voice that is unusually dark for a tenor, and yet so clear, too - and I'm just crazy about it. Male beauty in its perfect form! And let us not forget the other musicians - and especially not the composer who gave us such indelible melodies.

I wonder who many people know this aria very well specially the Pavarotti's numerous versions of it without knowing the composer of Turandot. Please never forget the Great Giaccomo Puccini who wrote in his operas the best arias ever for tenors.

Yes a voice perfectly suited for Puccini. I have performed opera ,in the orchestra (violinist). And I LIVE Puccini's operas .The melodies and orchestration are perfect. Jonas and Puccini are a match made in heaven .
