the best performance I've ever seen in a time trial I sincerely believe that this performance of vingegaard even exceeds that of pogacar on the La Planche des Belles Filles and I also think that this time trial of vingegaard It is one of the best in history I don't dare say the best because it is also that of indurain in 1992 the time trial of luxembourg and personally the one from indurain did not get to see it live

Nothing to do with fandom . Clearly uttered by a loud mouth that is ignorant of their respective race histories Nothing to do fan boy stuff ! Why do people , you don’t bother to do their research utter such nonsense ? Utter uneducated drivel . Why ? Pogacar was a winner of the Tour L’Avenir ! Jonas rode in that and came 66th !!!! He did win a team time trial stage though . A pretty strong edition too , with some many of them not ridding at pro tour level He was known for being a top rider at u20 level ! He even competed a Junior level on the international stage. Not domestic but international (the top European junior races ) Pog came third in a Junior European Championship in his season season as a junior just after winning an important Italian junior stage race , and won a stage at a very very prestigious Junior stage in the Czech Republic stage race (very important race for juniors ) . He was still eligible for junior the following year but rode at continental level (3rd level ) and at U23 level (or or less conti level) and came 7th in the one day Piccolo Giro di Lombardia (Marc Hirschi and Jay Hindley rode in that ) He wasn’t “dominant” in his first pro season, but he showed his Calibre on a poor UAE team (loads of organisation issues , see Dan Martin ) by coming 3rd in the Vuelta , his first Grand Tour race . The following year he was STILL a junior and whom the L’Avenir and came top five in decent Italian one days for Cotni earlier that season . A month after the L’Avenir he rode and won a big Italian stage race at conti level. And managing to come 7th at the world juniors in Austria (remember that horrible steep finish for the senior race ? . Hirschi won the junior race . That was a pretty fucking strong edition of the world juniors too . A lot of them guys are now at world tour level ! One month later he rode against world tour level riders (albeit lads who may not have done a lot that year eg old timers like Nico Roche and Mattie Breschel and Robert Ginsk) in the Japan Cup and got 11th . He was ALWAYS known for being a strong climber ! As for Roglic his history is well known. His TT can be hit and miss at times, it can all wrong for him . several years ago during the Froome dominance he missed out on a podium spot . But in Japan he won the Olympic ITT . There were also question marks of his ability to last a full Grand Tour eg Giro Italia that he just blew up in. He lost the TDF because of one bad day where everything went wrong for him. Alas he got some luck at his recent Giro against Gerraint Thomas who’s a fine TT man but not elite . Even then, he nearly lost that ITT due to a mechanical issue . G will kick himself for losing that . If the famous TDF ITT was ridden on another day , Rog might well have won . It just wasn’t to be As for the Danish guy, sorry. He’s Dane, not renowned climbers bar a certain Mr 60 % . Jonas simply does not have the Junior and Under 23 record that Pog has ! He struggled to finish his national championship races for fuck sake . He didn’t show a lot at youth level to merit a contract at pro level but I guess he showed that he was a good servant to the main riders, and to be fair, in his first pro year , he helped Rog win the Vuelta .
@gavintuesday4959
@gavintuesday4959 4 ай бұрын
Rog had a bad day, though he had a few of them eg Giro and a previous TDF where he just failed to get podium during the final ITT, . He didn’t need to win the stage . He just collapsed On an another day, Rog might have just pipped it and won the TDF . Just one of those days. Sure he nearly lost the Giro due to band luck on the final climb in that ITT. He was lucky to have been against Gerraint Thomas that day

Jonas looks more assured on cornering and descending. Certainly takes more speed through corners. However let’s not forget that Tadej was still recovering from injury at 2023 TdF. Despite that, Tadej is the stringer individual rider.

90% of the pro's been using PEDs since the 80s. Do you think after Lance got caught, it just magically ended? Only after jonas's TT did you think they might be on PED's. Not when chris froome was gapping most the GC contenders on mountain stages by over a minute. Almost all pro athletes, in general, are using drugs. I couldn't care less personally. I still watch the NFL, and MMA, even though they're all roided up.
