@patrickkelly9621 good choice! Currently I'm loving Lage Lund, Mike Moreno, Gilad Hekselman, Nir Felder, Kurt Rosenwinkel. The usual suspects. Charles Altura also blows my mind!

Ashamed to say I was unfamiliar with you until I recently played a copy of Lonnie Smith's "All in My Mind" and was asking, "... who is that guitarist?" Will be checking out your work soon. Any recommendations of your recordings? "Go ahead, toot your own horn" 👽✌️

Especially when playing fast, a lot of notes. Many folks end up sounding like Roy Clark or somebody like that.

Well, Roy Clark was a great guitarist, his staccato phrasing was really inspiring.

@@Domingojazz I totally agree. Roy Clark rarely showed what he could do, choosing instead to be an entertainer for many listeners. His particular style however, may not work so well or be appropriate for some situations. That’s all. Cheers!

Most folks get going real fast on the guitar and it sounds a lot like they’re driving the Hot Rod Lincoln. Cool, but maybe not appropriate for some situations.
