I met Julie Larson a few years ago at a production of tick tick boom and i asked her if there was ever a chance of hearing the music or seeing the show staged or a workshop and she was very sullen and was honest saying that she doesn’t think so. At least in the film of tick tick boom there is a lot of other stuff we’ve not seen or heard much

They said that the reason they could reproduce his apartment so well was because he videotaped the entire place for insurance purposes. Documented everything he had in case there was a fire.

I just read that his aortic aneurysm was missed in the testing... his symptoms were attributed to stress. Later findings from the NY Board of Medical Examiners found that his condition could have been treated with surgery and he would have lived. That makes me so so sad. tick tick Boom is such an ironic title, of course.

I can totally relate! I found out I had marfan's syndrome in 2000 after My Dad's aorta dissected, he was adopted so We had no clue. I'll be 40 next year and just had My second aortic replacement, I had a 70mm aneurism that formed after my aorta tore in 2013. But I've been having eco's since 2000 and the years of pregnancy or more stressful years in general their was greater growth. I'm taking my new aorta out for a burl next year! I can't wait, so stoked to still be here thanks to the best team of surgeons in the world at RPA Sydney, Aus.

So sad that he was writing songs about how death is around the corner (growing and it being inevitable) and he ended up dying young.

would love to see Superbia.. don't think it's too late. Just ask me how many times i saw RENT, and dragged everyone I knew, then when I had kids, I dragged them too. they knew every song word for word..singing them at age 6.

Like others here, I’m curious if Superbia could be put on now? What if they made it a movie? I wish we at least had an album of the songs! Apparently Jonathan Larson’s work is archived at the library of Congress. He wrote hundreds of songs - I can’t be the only one who thinks most of them should be recorded and made available for purchase and/or listening. Please????!!!!
