I think the thing is that RA 3 did not really have anything new to offer. It was basically the same game as 2, in an RTS market where New was Hot. So they said, you know what? Here's why you should by this game. We have the finest selection of perfectly cured Large Hams. Play what is basically 2 again because you are DESPERATE to see what batfuck performances happen in the next briefing. It seemed to work! It made a tidy profit. And god damn if everyone involved in the briefings is not having the time of their lives. Imagine being an actor and being told "we need you to chew the scenery down to the rebar here. Lose your mind entirely. The most over the top you have ever been is not good enough. Have literally as much fun as you can in every scene you are in." What a gift. What a recognition of your talents as an actor to be told "we will pay you to get reeeal silly with it." You can tell Curry and Simmons would have done it for free. Just look at the JOY he has here. A man with a voice for stenotorian yelling is encouraged to yell as loud as he wants about Commies.

more of the same isnt a bad thing RA3 is the slight updated version which is exacly what fans want, i wish a lot more games would do that, especially when they are almost a decade apart

@@kalimaude3532 Yes in red alert 2 all units had special abilities, base defenses were necessary, base expansion was flexible and they made certain units multi purpose (land/sea, sea/air and a air/sea)

People who complain about the acting obviously don't understand the whole charm of C&C. Just like red alert 2, the cut scenes are supposed to be wacky. The whole atmosphere of red alert is wacky to begin with since it has such crazy weaponry and funny moments during the campaign

100%, RA and RA2 were like low-budget B movies. RA3 was like a low-budget, low-class adult film that had big-name actors for some reason.

I mean, it's a shitposty game that had a story written by B-movie writers. They have horny woman characters. They also have a time travelling Einstein who killed Hitler, and a time travelling Soviet commander who proceeded to kill Einstein, resulting in a war between the Soviet Union, the allies, and a reborn Imperial Japan. Red Alert is far from the only RTS series to be guilty of doing B-movie stuff.
