His voice is incredible, every time I hear him sing I feel a surge throughout my entire body. I am passionate about music but there is no other musician that affects me like this man does. The raw emotion, the passion in the lyrics and his commitment to every word he sings is mind-blowing. He bares his soul and it makes him unbelievably beautiful. This is one man I would love to get to know! I hope he never stops producing music, it would be a grave loss to the world if he did.

@@jonathanroyofficial The love is definitely evident in every performance and lyric that you sing, you are incredible. The inflections in your voice, the words you choose, the way you move as though you feel every note, the fact you don't wear shoes in a lot of your videos even...I imagine it's to better feel the music? All of it, makes you unique, beautiful, passionate. I hope that the world goes back to normal soon and that I get the chance to experience it in person as well, I know I would love that. The fact that your music impacts me so deeply and touches my soul the way that it does I can only imagine in person your music would set my soul on fire. Never let the haters make you doubt or keep you from producing...never stop singing, it really would be a loss...one I know would take a piece of me with it.

Standing by someone fighting the demon of the bondage of self is hard and heartbreaking. Watching them destroy their spirit. I did this to myself and had a strong support group that pulled me back from hell. It’s powerful to see this side of it. And the mixture of the lyrics, the atmosphere, the dancers, it’s all in such unison and it’s simply beautiful.

I lost my brother to drugs years ago, I had no idea he was struggling, if I did I would have done anything to help him; I wish I could have been there for him, it breaks my heart he had to suffer alone. I hope you’re song touches that one person and gives them the strength to overcome this horrible disease. One life saved- you can live proud❤️

I don't have someone in this situation to sing this to, and I don't have a support system myself, so this song reads like a letter from my previously whole self to my shattered self, as we pick up the pieces and rebuild again. Keeping me alive has also been a driving force in my day to day. Thank you for both 🙏

I dont believe either of these responses to be true. I believe each dislike is someone's way of dealing with their own battles and not having the capacity to see the light at the end if the tunnel. They are "lost" and most likely need love and care and are probably wishing someone who take up for them as they are tired but most likely are battling in silence without a healthy support system to help guide them. Or potential bad music taste. 😆 This world needs more compassion. Let's start here!

I have always loved this beautiful, bittersweet and SO REAL as far as addiction & feelings off being so VERY lost & ALONE! I was very close to suicide not too long ago, as a result of my own demons...my constant yearning for being treated equally as anybody else, just because I am an addict that doesn't make me better or worse than anyone else. I have been so fortunate to have a "street" family because I really think I would not be here now if they had not been so generous and. despite all the hardships... continue to believe that we will one day be free from all the worst pains. Every time I listen to this song... I still cry. Just gotta keep believing!

Have anyone noticed that the dancers are asian and black, after America has been touched by lot of Asian Hate and Black Hate ; it's kinda an emblematic answer to these injustice by putting these two dancers upfront and, by the way, their dance is great.... but the highlight of that music video, besides Jonathan Roy that is great as always, is the fantastic voice of Kim Richardson (back vocals) that blends so much with Jonathan's voice. This song gives me life literally. This April I swallowed 29 pills and part of me left here. But the other part found what was lost. Every single day prior to that wake up my demons were dragging me to places I could find myself a way out of. It was loop of terror that literally ate me for an entire year. It came out of the clear blue and took me to the pits of hell. Every. Single. Day. There was nothing but shame and fear and terror and destruction of all that I was and am. My worth and value were buried in this pit at the bottom so deep and so gone. But this anthem. Is life. Is grace. Is freedom. Is the purest love. The greatest expression of unconditional love anyone can offer. To fight the demons with someone is fuc%ing brutal. It kills everything it touches. Or trries to anyway. But everyday we woke up he came to hell to battle to bring me back to find what I lost. He fought hard. The demons thought they won. But I’m stronger. And I hung tight to the light to find what I lost. Like magic I woke up as only me. I came back without them. They took that part of me and I found what it was that I lost. But he stayed strong and stood firm so I was not alone. He was my only light. So when you sing this you sing life. The anthem of forgiveness and unconditional love. The grace and mercy found at the bottom of your soul that you exude for the one you loved through demons is unconditional and literally spoke life in my bones. As your back up singer smiles her glorious harmony that ties this melodious magic together I was swept away. I have written and written and rewritten this anthem as I grow to make it my victory. To have him stand with me while I found what I lost is insurmountable. There will never be thanks big enough for the soul deep gratitude I feel. Thank you for helping pull me back and give me grace and forgiveness for all that was out of my hands and mind. I’d have chosen ANY dang thing but what was happening to me if I could have. Anything. I prayed for anything and it never came. But with his sword he came night after night to save me from my demons. Like a knight in shining amour. And you put my journey into words. Thank you so much for touching my soul. Thank you isn’t enough but thank you for changing my world. Thank you for my anthem and grace and unconditional love.
