Jonathan Winters invented improv and changed standup forever .The guy was a WW2 vet and my dads favorite comedian.I love to see him when someone asks a question he wasnt expecting..there is a split second glimmer in is eyes as he accesses the madness and crazy funny stuff comes pouring out.Clear why Robin Williams loved the guy I see the same thing in him..R.I.P Jonathan Winters

I really liked this show. Ticked me off when they took it off the air. That aside I believe that Mr. Winters was brilliant.

@MrJimmccue Being English, for years I only knew him for his role as the trucker, Pike, in "It's A Mad (x4) World." Then he popped up improving with Robin, on "Mork & Mindy". It was years later I discovered that he had been a much-loved INSTITUTION in The States, with a whole VARIETY of characters! Without Jonathan, we might never have known Robin Williams...

Without Jonathan Winters, there might never even have BEEN Robin Williams...at least not as the Robin Williams we knew. Robin was greatly influenced by Jonathan. The fact that he freely acknowledged that inspirational debt to Jonathan was one of the better aspects of his character.
