Naw reflexes r instincts imbeded deep within us. Its a fight or flight reaction and everyones is different. U can practice all u want but a warrior will always be a warrior and attack and a scrub will be a scrub and scurry away... ur born with an instinct that makes u you!

Love watching these step by step breakdowns of techniques used in boxing to overcome or defend against an opponent. When an actual fight is happening there's so much going on that you easily lose sight of how those techniques are being applied in the ring. These fighters don't do those drills over and over again ad infinitum for nothing. Remarkable how much hard work and training goes into making a competent professional boxer. It's the ultimate skill sport among all the combat sports, IMHO.

@anagram82 ай бұрын
Good stuff, one pointer, your back shoulder should always be completely concealed with your lead foot off to the left or right depending on what you jab with. That way you are controlling your opponent because no matter what they throw they have to pivot them hips around to throw it and you should already be in perfect position to counter in less than two steps. If you are really skilled with footwork and that jab which is your offense and defense they never get to throw anything but if they do. You make'm pay up. Very few boxers today conceal their back shoulder and from opening bell come at each other squared up. It's called 'the sweet science' because boxing really is a science of footwork, jab, angles. You must set your opponent up by setting traps that give them no where to run when you unleash the fury. Knock outs bring the fans but judges, refs and people who know boxing will always appreciate boxing. When watching a boxing match notice where the judges sit, they are sitting eye level of the feet. I always watch the first 2/3 rounds of the boxers footwork and that's likely going to tell you who will win the match. Not always but the one who is controlling the match is controlling it based on footwork first. Sometimes you watch a match and question the scoring. Short of a bribe, the judges are scoring based on 'the sweet science'

You want to attack after your opponent misses, never waste an open opportunity! When you step out and bob out, load up your right hook to the body while bobbing then strike once you step into the pivot, unleashing a powerful body blow and setting you up for a combination.
