It’s bigger than a Barrett .50cal. If you fire this thing from the shoulder, you’ll break your collar bone.

Just a bit of advice. Pay attention to your compass and what the characters are telling you. They will tell you where you have to go, who's friendly and what to do. Grenades are your friend and dont be afraid to use multiple weapons. As Gaz said, switching to your secondary is faster than reloading.

You know, the Sniper in Hardened and Veteran difficulty is instant kill, you have to shoot him three times to kill him, the same happens to Amsel Also i always call that Sniper Simo Häyhä (the Finland Sniper of the Winter War) since he's a deadly Sniper in those dificulties and doesn't even use scope 🫡

25:41 you might need to get adjusted to the WWII-era weaponry. There’s automatic weapons, but there mostly submachine guns. Bolt action rifles were the norm for most armies around the world, the exception being the USA, which had standardized on the semi automatic M1 Garand. Each nation has their own automatics, including submachine guns. The US has the Thompson; the Russians have the PPSh-41; the Germans have the MP40; the Japanese have the Type 100. Keep in mind that there’s only ONE assault rifle in the game, the German STG44. This is because the STG44 was the world’s first assault rifle and no other nation used them other than the Germans.

Not sure if this is another film reference, but the first mission with Reznov where you're sniping reminds me of the film "Enemy At The Gates". Another solid WWII film. Also, a quick fact about the Soviet Red Army during WWII was that they had so little resources and were so badly armed that not every soldier even had a rifle. Therefore, they had to wait for one of their own to die so they could pick up their rifle.

45:31 so ive noticed this but you tend to reload when you dont have to so i recommend not dont that you dont have to reload Everytime, also you treat SMGS and machine guns as rifles you can hold down tigger and let loose dont be scared of getting close it will be easier to kill enemies, also you dont have to follow your NPCs you can lead the way so dont be stiff and cautious be brave and loose youd be surprised how effective it is.

Been waiting for this moment since you announced you’ll be playing waw and the other treyarch games You nailed that intro jonesy #firsttry lmao. And yeah reznov character got a bit of taste for the drama but that’s because the actor behind him is none other than the goat Gary Oldman I always find it funny when reznov says that chernov didn’t earn the rest lol. And you jinxed it when you were talking about friendly fire, you shot 2 friendly tanks one of them got destroyed. Vendetta is my fav mission and the final mission as well, after i finished the game for the first time i replayed those 2 mission at least 15 times, they’re so epic, you’ll see jonesy! I didn’t care much for the american arc of this game, dimitri always had a special place in my heart

Don' worry about some friendly-fire as the Soviets - If a few extra died, they didn't really care. True story. In the fight between the Soviets and the Nazis, there were no good guys: Just 2 opposing nations with different kinds of crazy megalomaniacs at the top.

Oh man, on Hardened and Veteran is difficult with the sniper segment. Because that sniper takes two or three shots to eliminate him. And he kills you in one shot. Luckily, you are on Normal. 😊

In modern times, use of flamethrowers in combat is considered a war crime. On a side note: You can get an achievement in the “Burn ‘Em Out” mission if you use only the flamethrower, Grenades and melee. Jonesy, you almost got it. 👍

To watch this one, I literally turned on my Xbox 360 and put in COD WAW and am playing right along with you. Almost timed exactly, of course since I have played it probably 50 times I know where everyone is so pacing isn't exactly spot on.

Tips: ur stealth is improving greatly but u need to make sure u crouch when reznov told u to watch the road and make sure u look on ur scope to see who u are going to target because u were so lost on what u were supposed to be shooting at, make sure u shoot the dog first when he's stationary since u missed then shoot the guy , patience isn't much to say. The Soviets were really brutal as they were the only army in the Eastern Front in the European Theater who pushed the whole German Army back towards their homeland. While the British and American forces pushed the Germans back as well in the Western Front and North Africa. 😊

I adore this game. Always did since it launched. The story is heavy and awful in the best way. The gameplay is tight and intense (minus grenades). But I just can't stand the sound design for the weapons. They sound so weak and gutless! Firing a rifle sounds like wet cardboard slapping leather. The amazing voice acting makes up for it tho
