When you were trying to rocket launcher the engines you kept on hitting the metal between the 2 open vents which is why it wasn't working. Its very easy to do and caught me out the same way when I first played.

Halo 2 and halo 4 have the best movie story cut scene's Sadly halo 3 does not and is quite boring if you get there probably best to go straight to halo 4 after halo 2 is completed You don't miss much story in halo 3

Since I played black ops 2 many years ago, I still don't know what does Manuel Noriega and the Panamanian army have to do with Nicaragua? I don't understand why the Panamanian army is on Nicaraguan soil. I know that Nicaragua had a civil war in the 80's, but still, why would Panama act on Nicaraguan territory? Wouldn't that be a very serious political conflict? Furthermore, in the middle of Nicaragua and Panama, there is Costa Rica. Does that mean that Noriega and his army crossed the territory of Costa Rica without any problem, just to capture Menéndez? Wouldn't it be easier for the CIA to ask the Nicaraguan army or the Costa Rican police forces for help in capturing Menéndez? I feel like there is a big hole in the game's plot.

Halo 1- Good- Proper Warzone feeling in most places and larger landscapes. Bad- Repetitive and lazy gameplay design during last missions.😂 Halo 2-Good- Amazing storyline, best characters design, crisp and concise gameplay. Bad- Might miss warzone kinda feeling in some places. Do you agree Jonesy?

CE will always have the nostalgia factor for me since I grew up playing it, but I can't lie... Halo 2 is such a huge step up. Bungie really outdid themselves and the hype when it launched was unreal. The cutscenes and remastered graphics from 2014 are gorgeous, but the gameplay, mechanics, levels, characters, and storyline are all from 2004 and they hold up amazingly well even 20 years later. I'm so glad you gave this a try after CE was a bit of a let down for you, and even more glad you love it this much! And agree with what you said about the humour. The conflict in the story is serious and high stakes and all, but the game is meant to be fun and lighthearted and the devs nailed that. Enjoy the rest of the story, have a great weekend!

Halo 2 has the best story ever I'd probably skip halo 3 its quite boring, if you complete halo 2 I'd move straight onto halo 4 way better story.

Useful tip- Even if you have one bullet/battery left in your weapon when you interchange that with your ally, it becomes an infinite ammo for your ally.

Hi Master Chief 'Geezer' Jonesy! 🫡👋 Many congrats on beating Halo! 🙌🥳🙌 22:47 "Not my circus, not my monkeys" made me Lmao!! 🤣 I'm going to say that you were enjoying yourself so much that occasionally you decided to turn yourself around and go back for seconds!! 😜 Jk, I could feel your pain and anguish! 😧 From what I could see the red directional marker only appears sporadically, possibly if and when you get turned around, or when you're close to an objective i.e., like 42:08 when you needed to access the banshee. Even then, it's quite difficult to see it on-screen when you're so focused-in on *ALL* the flippin' enemies everywhere. It would have been helpful to have it permanently on screen, but hey-ho, it is what it is! 😅 Thanks for all the fun, laughs and entertainment you always bring with your playthroughs, Master Chief 'Geezer' Jonesy! 🫡😊

As someone already noted down below, turrets are a good time - and may or may not be detachable 😸 Oh, and since you figured out dual-wield, feel free to mix and match (you can also scope the battle rifle the game keeps giving you - so check the keybinding in your settings menu... which also lets you switch the bindings to be more like modern shooters if you think that might be good for you) As far as the dev cycle went for this game, Bungie didn't really have a plan for a second game - since a sequel for one of their other games had been disastrous just prior to H:CE, and was the reason they sold themselves to Microsoft to avoid bankruptcy - but once H:CE became a massive phenomenon, devs went *hhhhhaaaaaarrrrrrdddd* and were determined to fix all the shortfalls of H:CE, so you won't get much in the way of PTSD 🤙

So this is the prefect end to this day. Spent the day visiting some breweries as well as having one of the best pizzas I've ever had and now Jonesy. I know I say this a lot in your videos but you continue to entertain on a consistent basis and I am here for it. And I'm just as blind about Halo as you so we'll see this through together.

I remember 12 year old me waking my dad up on a school night to pick this game up at midnight in 2004. This game was my childhood and was imo the best multiplayer experience. Your in for a treat

I think your reaction was the same as all of us who played Halo 2 for the first time: that incredible opening cinematic, the abysmal improvement in narrative, the fact that there are physics to make the scenario more alive with boxes and objects reacting to us or explosions, being able to use two weapons at the same time for God's sake are so many details. Remember that you can combine weapons by using 2 at the same time, for example you can carry in your left hand a Plasma Rifle to burn the shields and in the right hand a SMG or a human pistol together with a plasma pistol, there are several combinations with which you can experiment. Oh, and another thing, you can pass the weapon you carry to the marines, for example if you see a marine using a pistol and you have a Rocket just approach and you will see a sign that will indicate that you can exchange weapons, and you know what the best thing is? they have infinite ammunition! That means they will shoot like crazy without worrying about reloading.

Oh dang! I don't recall the step-up in graphics and stuff was so big from the first game.

Wait, wait, wait! They got subtitles during the gameplay?!? What always bugged me about Bungie's Halo games was that they had subtitles during the cinematics but none during the gameplay. Like why even bother if your not gonna have them on all the time? So glad they finally added them in. :)
