Hey, Jon! Limes Inferior is latin for "lower limit", and one pronounces the first word as 'LEE-mehs'. You pronounce "limes" like the citrus fruit just ONE MORE TIME, and my old Catholic school latin teacher (Sister Immacula) is going to reach out from beyond the grave to smite us both. I can't have that man ... I have family counting on me! Can't be dealing with smitings right now. Great video! Thanks.

Great tutorial as usual Jon. This is not a game that I would normally consider, but seeing your tutorial in the Kickstarter page made me click on it! This seems similar to Heroes of ALS, but more historic and somewhat less convoluted. Thanks for the video

Well done, Sir! A well laid-out video. Might be just me, but doesn't seem an easy game to get in your head, this one.

I think that could be due to the "small turn" nature of the design. At first I remember thinking "a WHOLE turn recruits just one unit?" but then I realized that most actions are very small like this and that incremental nature seems abnormal for a game of this weight and length.

Well I like it, seems like a decent 4x Civ game, and a neat option to play with up to 8 players when combined. Not mega hyped or anything, but seems like a solid game for now and then. Not too expansive for that amount of content either, so gonna back that one

The designers seem to have taken much from the old Shogun (or Samurai Swords or Ikusa from Milton Bradley). I like it already. :)

@JonGetsGames: Jon, at @35:33 the Patreon logo is gone. It's because KZfaq changed the way you add the links to a video. You'll need to create a new one, and then you can copy that in future videos. Had the same thing happen.

After the first round does the first player change and thus the new first player gets to play one noble less?

Thanks for rule explanation! I needed so badly becouse few days ago i opened brand new copy of Dark Ages: heritage of charlemagne, and no rule book inside :( the cuatomer support of board and dice stays silince.. maybe someone haves pdf? :)))))))))))))))))))

Eh, the theme and some of the actions remind me of Rurik but with added complexity that I'm not convinced improves the gameplay. You did well in presenting the game, this just isn't the game for me.

Rick Sams OMG! I immediately thought the same thing. Lot of similar actions...literally the same name. I feel like this is a little more complex and obviously based on historic characters vs fantasy.

Well, it's in the same genre. Most of them look like each other on a superficial level.

While the actions seem similar I think they are very different games. HoLAS is much more focused on combat and it also has static technology boards. Here the technology you use each game will change widely and you can do.

No worries, no game is for everyone. I can't be objective here, but I will still say that I was pleasantly surprised by the decisions I was making while filming the game. I hope to have an opportunity to play the final version at some point, I never played this prototype with anyone but myself here :)
