After years of saying "this year I'm going to do a full Tales song / I'm going to do a Tales song soon", I've finally done it!
This isn't really the first time I've done a Tales song.. I did Fighting of the Spirit from Tales of Phantasia (or Symphonia, take your pick) way back in the 2015 SNES Medley. Ever since I've been meaning to get to a full Tales song... but always kept putting it off.
But now, thanks to the Side-Quests RNG gods, I bring you this remix of Fury Sparks from Tales of Vesperia.

Project X Zone has some great quality sprites, showing us the flow of many types of attacks (pair combos, solo units, special attacks/supers) from many different characters. Actually, it was thanks to those games that I met this track from the Tales series (even though I never played it; my first game of this series I acquired was Tales of Berseria).

Without a shadow of a doubt this battle exchange is the best in the game. And the battle itself is so fun. Kind of didn’t want it to end lol. Also I reckon I missed the secret mission cause I never used Yuri’s MA therefore Flynn never used his.

He would be a fantastic addition. A fast paced character that mixes sword attacks with his fists, with multiple cool looking Artes, being able to do some combo strings and cancel some of his moves. Well to be fair that would apply to other Tales protagonists as well, and while they would be cool, I'd personally prefer Yuri!

If you mean the animation from 1:00 the sprites are from Project X Zone 1 and 2, great game if you haven't played it, it's for 3DS

@@sapphireweapon12345 Yeah, though if you could only pick one of the two, go for the second. As for what it is, if you're familiar with Namco x Capcom, then these are the sequels, though each installment changes things up a little bit, and adds a new company to the mix. (Sega for the first, Nintendo for the second, though for the latter, representation is fairly minor. (Only Fire Emblem Awakening and Xenoblade Chronicles)) If you're not familiar, it's a TRPG where many of the companies' game worlds cross over, and engaging in combat has a bit of a real-time aspect to it (Basically, each playable character/group has their own set of attacks, and to get the best result, these attacks are to be chained together with proper timing. A set number of attacks are allowed per combat round, based on certain factors varying by game. (PXZ1, it's one attack per combo known by that pair, +1 for using each one once in that round. In PXZ2, it's a fixed three attacks, plus one for burning meter on a Mirage Cancel, which, of course, cancels the current combo and slows down time to make it easier to get the best timing.) Along with those, you can attach an individual unit to a pair, who can be called to perform their own attack, you can also get the assistance of an ally in an adjacent space, and call them to add to the attack, and if you have enough meter, you can use a super attack at the end.)

Yep, never owned a Microsoft console so played the hell out of PxZ and learned of Vesperia there. Was so happy when the Switch port came around. (For what it's worth, 200 hours on PxZ and counting)

I played this game once. Didn't get far into it, but I liked it. Like many games I start and never finish, I just got distracted with something else. Not sure if I'll ever go back to this game, but it certainly isn't bad from what I've played.

Love me some Tales music, but the battle themes tend to be the hardest to get stuck in my head since I'm always concentrating on the realtime combat! especially one-off battles.. Would love to see more tracks from this one, symphonia, phantasia.. especially non battle ones :p Whoa,, where'd that pixel art come from? that was insane! Omegpha?
