Still have my 2002 955 Tiger I bought new, love the bike and have had only few issues. I just modified the suspension (Wilber), which did a world of good. Plan to keep it as long as it or I last/can handle it. I‘ve just supplemented it with a Scrambler 400x , what a contrast these bike offer😊😊😊😊. Ride savely

Hey friend i wish you all the best 👍. I have the 2004 model and it's still a beast of a bike which makes lots of the new ones to look like bicycles if you compare them to the tiger. It burns some oil nowadays but that's all, and since i have my eyes on it there's no big problem. Of course i will attend that when I'll be able to do so, but for now it still runs like the wind as long as I'm keeping the oil level where it must be, other than that to me at least, it's the most beautiful travelling, touring, on-off bike ever created 🐅.

I had a Lucifer red tiger 955 and it was a great bike, a bit heavy and did decide to have a little nap, twice! Thank god for crash bungs. I do miss it as was a real beast with loads of power. Must admit I do miss it as changed last year to a 800 tiger. 😊

Yes i agree heavy and tall but like you say the power and the sound is awesome 👍

Got the 885i (first two modelyears) amazing bike, really good for long tours and "light" offroad work. Heavy girl though😅

Cracking price on the Bike, I had the Triumph T595 using the same three pot engine, traded it part exchange for a Kawasaki VN1600 Nomad. Was a learning curve going from over the tank sport to feet forward cruising.

Thanks mogendo. Enjoy the vn1600, I'd like to try a cruiser blasting out some old rock tunes. 👍

Glad you're getting to enjoy all the hard work over the winter. If you find the forks a bit "soft" you could try going up half an oil grade, mix 10 & 15 50/50 by volume and you should notice a difference without compromising on spring rates and it's easier and cheaper to go up to 15 or back to 10 if you don't like it. They're hard to beat for value & fun.

Nice one buddy I can't wait to get back out there on mine and get some riding going , bloody need a ark instead of bike or car 😅

Thanks Sean. I agree, but a ship container full of motorcycle's would be a lot better.👍

Maybe you should think of gett an FJR1300 as a next project. I love them to bits and so reliable. You can get generation 1 bikes cheap that need fettling up. You'd also love their legendary performance too!

Looks a nice bike mate, I don't think many of the adventure bikes would be too good off road anyway 😉, but for the money you paid it seems a good buy so far 👍

Thanks Gary. Yes the bike as a good feel about it I'm glad I stumbled on this one.👍

Adventure bikes 20 years newer are just as heavy or more. My Tiger 955i will not be going tougher than gravel tracks.
