@@samiam619 lol you got to be joking he's not even close to as entertaining as Joolz not even on the same level. Also that's wicked rude to go on one guys YT and try to get someone to watch a different Channel you obviously have to class and are socially awkward. But again you couldn't be more wrong the history guy while educational is extremely boring with this guy you learn and have fun while being entertained. Go spread your man crush somewhere else!

True story: was actually meandering down Fleet St this morning, wondering at the dragon, the church, and who amongst history had meandered it before me. Then I came home to this upload and the answers therein. 'Twas a beautiful affirmation of my decision to move my life across the seas and plonk it down in this most excellent of towns. Thanks Mr. McDonnell!

Dr. Samuel Johnson: Here it is, sir. The very cornerstone of English scholarship. This book, sir, contains every word in our beloved language. Blackadder: Every single one, sir? Dr. Samuel Johnson: Every single word, sir! Blackadder: Oh, well, in that case, sir, I hope you will not object if I also offer the Doctor my most enthusiastic contrafibularities. Dr. Samuel Johnson: What? Blackadder: "contrafibularities", sir? It is a common word down our way. Dr. Samuel Johnson: Damn! [writes in the book] Blackadder: Oh, I'm sorry, sir. I'm anaspeptic, phrasmotic, even compunctuous to have caused you such pericombobulation.

Hey Julian, I was fortunate to be the vacationing spouse on a trip to London as I joined my wife on her business trip in March 2012. We stayed @ the Crowne Plaza in Blackfriars for 8 days. I toured the city for 5 days on the London (6 day) Pass with 7 day Tube Pass, and ventured to Windsor Castle on day 6. The city was busy getting ready for the Olympic Games at the time. After my first day about town I asked a barmaid at the Blackfriars Pub, where I stopped each day for a pint or two after checking out the town, for a spot to dine. Without hesitation she said "Ye' Old Cheshire Cheese". I fell in love with the place immediately upon arrival. I dined there on four occasions having the awesome lamb shank each time. The smell of coal, the wood shavings on the floor, and, the ease of convesration are still imprinted upon me. Another highlight was finding Ronnie Scott's bar for 3 very late evenings during my stay. The people I had the opportunity to meet and hang with were wonderful. London is a great town to explore. Thanks for taking me to Ye Olde Cheese once again, bud.

I don’t know what’s wrong with your agent - you are quite the actor and should be working full time as an actor - comedies, action and all that! My parents are both from London - Although I was born in California and continue to live here in Orange County your videos are both educational and make me feel close to my roots! Well done - I must say! Thanks! Chris

Excellent. And educational. I used to know Fleet Street and the Strand quite well in the1980s and 90s, particularly the pubs. Last May I took part in the Vitality 10,000. The route, simply, was from Buckingham Palace down Fleet Street and The Stand, more or less, and heading back the same way from the vicinity of Monument tube station. Not once in my life have I followed any section of that route without stopping in two or three boozers. Running past all of them was a dreadful challenge. Keep up the good work.

I remember this particularly because my boss booked me in there which was quite a culture shock to this Yorkshire miner's son. I would love to know where exactly these were,

Hi Jules....yes I subscribed. Absolutely great videos. I've binged watched for two days during lockdown in Barbados. Can't believe how much I've learned. I was born there and although now live here, I visit every year and love the history. Sent a link of your KZfaqs to every Londoner I know. Next you must visit this little island which has it's own colonial past. We even have a statue of Lord Nelson in our town square. When flights resume. You'll love it as much as a dip in the ocean.
